SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Pistols

Dreyse Model 1907

Gereon Rath's (Volker Bruch) duty sidearm is a Dreyse Model 1907 throughout the series. The first appearance of his pistol is in Episode 1, when he uses it while chasing a criminal, but accidentally drops it.

Dreyse Modell 1907 - 7.65mm Browning
After taking good care, Bruno Wolter loaded a magazine into the Dreyse...
"...barrel adjusted, blown through."
...checks the sights...
"Everything in order..."
...and hands it back to Gereon, which offers a view of the grip with the "FMR" logo. This is a feature of an early produced Dreyse pistol (Ep. 02).
Johann König (Marc Hosemann) threatens Gereon during the interrogation (Ep. 02).
Gereon forces the "Armenian" to collect all the movie rolls with his Dreyse (Ep. 08).
Later, in the middle of the restaurant, he points it at him again (Ep. 08).
Rear view of the same scene (Ep. 08).
During the shootout, he fires his Dreyse alongside Kasabian's Colt (Ep. 08).

Lignose 3A

Franz Krajewski (Henning Peker) uses a Lignose 3A pistol.

Lignose Einhandpistole 3A - 6.35mm
Franz Krajewski, unaware of what is happening behind him, points his Lignose 3A with his finger on the trigger guard, not yet having chambered a round (Ep. 01).
Franz Krajewski cambering a round with the Lignose's distinct trigger guard cocking mechanism (Ep. 01).
Stephan Jänicke (Anton von Lucke) finds Krajewski's Lignose 3A in Rath's desk (Ep. 05).

Ortgies Pocket Pistol

Bruno Wolter's (Peter Kurth) service weapon is a Ortgies Pocket Pistol, chambered in either .32 ACP or .380 ACP. Svetlana Sorokina (Severija Janusauskaite) is also seen with this pistol, chambered in .25 ACP.

Ortgies Pocket Pistol - .25 ACP
Svetlana shows one of her comrades an argument (Ep. 03).
Svetlana in her show costume holds Alexei Kardakov (Ivan Shvedoff) at gunpoint (Ep. 05).
Bruno moves the slide to reload while waiting in a car (Ep. 08).
Bruno Wolter points his Ortgies Pocket Automatic pistol at a bouncer (Ep. 08).

Luger P08

The Luger P08 is one of the standard sidearms of the German police.

Luger P08 - 9x19mm Parabellum
A police officer's child removes his father's Luger P08 from its holster (Ep. 05).
A close-up of the child holding his father's Luger P08 (Ep. 05).
A frightened train station guard pointing his Luger P08 (Ep. 06).

Tokarev TT-30/TT-33

One of the inaccuracies of the show is its constant use of the TT-type pistol by the Soviet agents Grigori Selenskij (Dmitri Alexandrov) and Michail Fallin (Waléra Kanischtscheff) of ambassador Trochin (Denis Burgazliev). The show is set in 1929, while the TT-30 would not even be designed until 1930. An accurate choice would be the Korovin TK pistol or the already used Nagant M1895 revolver.

Tokarev TT-30 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev
A closeup of a Russian taking aim with a TT-type pistol with what appears to be some sort of light attached to the front, just under the muzzle (most likely put onto the gun so a blank would not have to be fired at an actor at such close range) (Ep. 02).
Fallin holds the TT while examining a bloody consignment bill. Note the shape of the cocking serrations which is typical for the pre-1947 version of TT pistols (Ep. 02).
A police officer is seen laying out several captured handguns, including multiple TT-type pistols (Ep. 07).
WE TT-33 air gun with fake suppressor; for comparison
Fallin holds his TT equipped with a suppressor (Ep. 05).
Selenskij rushes by Svetlana while he still screws on the suppressor (Ep. 05).

Mauser C96

Mauser C96 pistols are also seen in the police armory.

Sauer Model 1913

Czerwinski (Rüdiger Klink) uses a Sauer 1913 pocket pistol as his duty sidearm.

J.P. Sauer & Sohn Model 1913 - .32 ACP
Czerwinski points his Model 1913 at the Soviet agent Fallin (Ep. 07).

Flintlock Pistol

During one of the apartment searches, Bruno finds an old Flintlock Pistol in Episode 4.

British Heavy Dragoon Pistol - .62 caliber
Bruno examines his find...
...and fools around with it.

Colt M1911A1

Edgar "The Armenian" Kasabian (Misel Maticevic) owns a nickel-plated Colt M1911A1 as his preferred sidearm, which Gereon Rath takes away in Episode 8.

Nickel Plated M1911A1 - .45 ACP
Having taken Edgar's Colt, Gereon points his own pistol at him.
Gereon uses Edgar as a human shield and aims the Colt at the main bodyguard.
One of Kasabian's henchmen fires a standard Colt pistol during the restaurant shootout.
Gereon replies the fire with the Colt and his Dreyse.
"Don't overdo it, boy!"
During a cease-fire, Gereon uses the opportunity to take Edgar hostage again.

Astra 400

Jonny (Wolfgang Lindner), the main bodyguard of "The Armenian", is seen with an Astra 400 during the shootout in the restaurant.

Astra 400 - 9x23mm Bergmann/Largo
Jonny points his Astra at Gereon while he holds his boss hostage.
He opens fire with his pistol, starting the shootout.
A slightly different angle.

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

The Nagant M1895 is used by Soviet agents and "Red Fortress" members.

Nagant M1895 - 7.62x38R Nagant
A police officer is seen laying out several captured handguns, including some Nagant revolvers (Ep. 07).

Smith & Wesson Model 10

A cook in Kasabian's restaurant in Episode 8 is seen using a Smith & Wesson Model 10.

The cook holds his revolver at the ready.
His revolver is seen laying on the front table.

Submachine Guns

M1928 Thompson

Some Russian counter-revolutionaries taking over the train in Ep. 01 are armed with M1928 Thompson submachine guns. One episode later Thompsons are used by Soviet agents, including Grigori Selenskij and Michail Fallin.

M1928 Thompson with 50-round drum magazine - .45 ACP
One of the Soviet agents starts firing his Thompson at counter-revolutionaries trapped in the basement.
Another agent mows down the enemies of the people.
Fallin holds his Thompson in his right hand, revealing a view of the stock while finishing a wounded "parasite" with his TT pistol after the shootout.

Suomi KP/-31 SJR

The Finnish Suomi KP/-31 SJR submachine gun with a drum magazine is used by the Russian counter-revolutionaries in Episode 1 who take control of the train. The SJR version (from Finnish suujarru - muzzle brake) appeared only in 1943.

Suomi KP/-31 SJR - 9x19mm Parabellum
The counter-revolutionary approaches the stopped train with his Finnish gun in hands.
"We need to break through!"
The revolutionary raises his KP/-31 SJR at his comrade which shows the barrel in detail

Bergmann MP18/I "System Schmeisser"

Some Bergmann MP18/I submachine guns are seen packed in a crate in the police arsenal. These are refurbished guns (sometimes referred to as the MP18/Iv) that were converted from a canted TM 08 Trommelmagazin magazine feed to a straight box magazine feed; these conversions were undertaken in the 1930s on behalf of the German police. Therefore their use by policemen in the show is accurate, but the timeframe is anachronistic - in 1929, German police would likely have still been using standard MP18/I submachine guns with TM 08 feeds.

These converted MP18/Is are intended to stand in for the Schmeisser MP28/II, as they are incorrectly identified as MP28/IIs by Major Scheer.

Bergmann MP18/I "System Schmeisser" - 9x19mm
"Would you rather have one of these? MP28, brand new."
Major Scheer presents the armory's new delivery to Bruno.

Shotguns

Rifles

Mauser Gewehr 1898

By far the most used rifle is the Gewehr 1898, seen in the hands of Berlin police forces, German Border, and train station guards. Some of the Gewehrs in the police armory of Major Scheer (Florian Panzner) are equipped with Reichswehr tangent-leaf rear sights.

Mosin Nagant 1891/30

Two Russian counter-revolutionaries in the first episode can be seen with Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifles. Also, two Soviet soldiers in front of the embassy are armed with Mosin Nagants with fixed spike bayonets. The rifles obviously stand in for the original imperial variant.

Mauser 98 Sporter

Some types of Mauser 98 Sporter rifles are used during the series. In Episode 7, Bruno introduces a Sporter rifle, that he calls a "Mauser K97" to which Major Scheer sets up a "Ziel 3" night vision scope (night vision devices, let alone ones that could be mounted on a rifle, did not enter widespread production until the 1940s). Generalmajor Seegers (Ernst Stötzner) and Oberst Gottfried Wendt (Benno Fürmann) are also seen with Sporter rifles during a deer hunt in Episode 6.

Steyr Mannlicher-Schönauer

Major Beck (Joachim Paul Assböck) is seen with a Mannlicher-Schönauer Modell GK over his shoulder during the same hunt.

Other

Armored Car

An armored car mockup (called Sonderwagen at that time and today) is used by the Berlin police in Episode 5, which resembles a Russian Austin-Putilov Armored Car. Captured Russian Austins were really used by the Kokampf armored unit of the German Freikorps in 1919-1920, but they weren't seen in later years.
