A Stranger Among Us
A Stranger Among Us is 1992 crime drama directed by Sidney Lumet. NYPD Detective Emily Eden (Melanie Griffith), after a temporary suspension due to a shooting, receives a challenging task from her supervisor. During the inquest she found that along with Yaakov, some $720,000 worth in diamonds have disappeared. The young man was about to marry - his chosen is Mara (Tracy Pollan), who was adopted by Rebe a year ago when she lived as a prostitute on the street. At the same time, mafioso Tony Baldessari (James Gandolfini) and his brother come to the shop and offer "protection" for a considerable amount of money. Emily begins suspecting that they are involved with the murder of a young jeweler and that the murderer is hiding somewhere among the members of the community.
