"Cyclone" Will Begin at Night (a translation of original Latvian title "Ciklons" saksies nakti, Russian title "Tsiklon" nachnyotsya nochyu) is a Soviet Latvian 1967 made for television war movie directed by Ada Neretniece and based on the novel by Dmitriy Morozov. In Autumn 1944, the German intelligence service attempts to organize sabotage groups to act behind Soviet lines in the Carpathian mountains. Capt. Schwartzbruck must be transferred across the front line in order to coordinate "Operation Cyclone". A Soviet agent, under the guise of German officer Liebel, starts his own activities in order to prevent "Cyclone".

TT-33

Soviet intellegence agent Michel (Pyotr Gorin) carries a TT-33 when he impersonates Capt. Schwartzbruck. Maj. Melnichenko (Yuriy Bogolyubov) holds a TT during the operation against a German group.

Submachine Guns

PPSh-41

Many Soviet soldiers and German soldiers in Soviet uniform are armed with PPSh-41 submachine guns. Some PPShs are fitted with box magazines.

MP 40

Gelena (Ausma Dragone), a young Carpathian woman who helps the Soviet troops, carries a MP 40. Michel (Pyotr Gorin) is also seen with a MP 40. MP 40s are used by German soldiers in several scenes.

Holsters

Some characters carry holsters for pistols that doesn't appear in the film.

Michel carries a holster for a Makarov PM. It looks empty.
Unterfeldwebel Gatenberg carries a mock-up of a German universal pistol holster.

BTR-152

A post-war BTR-152 APC is seen in one scene. It may be used as a substitution for Lend-Lease M3/M5 half-tracks.
