The following weapons were used in the film Von Ryan's Express:
MP40
The MP40 is used by both German and Italian forces as well as by various POW's when they are disguised as German guards including Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra), Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard), and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter).
Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra) holds the MP40.
An American POW (James B. Sikking) with the MP40.
Col. Ryan and Sergeant Bostick (Brad Dexter) fire their MP40's while on the train.
Schwarzlose m.07 machine gun
Mauser Gewehr 1898
used by German and Italian troops.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Both Col. Ryan and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter) use the Model 24 Stielhandgranate.
Luger P08
Numerous German officers including Colonel Gortz (John Van Dreelen) carry the Luger P08.
