Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the second installment in the Transformers film franchise. Michael Bay returns as director and the 2009 sequel finds Earth threatened by a longtime enemy of the Autobots. The film would be followed by 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

During the battle in Egypt, U.S. Marines are briefly seen engaging the Decepticons with an M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System attatched to their M4A1 Carbines.

M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 carbines is seen as the main weapon of both NEST and the U.S. Armed Forces. The ones used by NEST are dressed up with futuristic shell handguards (some including a raised rail that overlaps the bolt release) fitted with EOTech 552 Holographic sights and/or Aimpoint Comp M4 CCO optics, AN/PVS-14 night-vision scopes, Surefire Universal weaponlights, AN/PEQ-2 IR designators, Magpul P-Mags and either Magpul CTR or LMT Crane SOPMOD stocks. Other U.S. military personnel can be seen using regular M4A1's with varying accessories including Aimpoint Comp M2 CCO optics, Trijicon ACOG scopes, C-More red dot sights, Surefire Universal weaponlights, and RIS foregrips; some which also have under barrel weapons such as M203 grenade launchers or M26 MASS shotguns.

M16A2
A number of M16A2s were seen in the hands of Jordanian special forces soldiers after their Black Hawk helicopter was shot down by the Decepticons in Egypt. A few can also be seen in the hands of U.S. military personnel when NEST is disbanded.
M16A4
Several M16A4s can be seen in the hands of U.S. military personnel when NEST is disbanded, fitted with RIS foregrips, ACOG scopes, and Surefire Universal weaponlights.
AKM
AKMs were seen in the hands of Egyptian soldiers (incorrectly wearing Iraqi Republican Guard berets and shoulder boards) at the Egyptian/Jordanian border.
Bushmaster M17S
A number of Bushmaster M17S rifles are seen incorrectly in the hands of Chinese police officers & PLA soldiers in Shanghai, fitted with an unknown red dot scope. These were likely used due to their resemblance to the Chinese-made Norinco QBZ-95 rifle.
M1 Garand
M1 Garand rifles with the metal parts chromed are seen in the hands of a military honor guard at the NEST base in Diego Garcia when the bodies of the NEST soldiers that died in the Shanghai operation are loaded onto an awaiting USAF C-17 Globemaster transport plane.
Barrett M82A1
When the Decepticons are detected in the eastern United States, a NEST soldier can be seen carrying an Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle while mobilizing.
Machine Guns
Mk 48 Mod 0
Several NEST soldiers are seen using Mk 48 Mod 0 machine guns, dressed up with futuristic shells, barrel shroud, M68 Aimpoint red dot scopes, Harris bipods, and M145 MGO scopes.
M249 Paratrooper
A few NEST soldiers are briefly seen firing dressed up M249 Paratroopers, fitted with futuristic shells, barrel shrouds, and M68 Aimpoint red dot scopes, during the final battle in Egypt.
Hand Held M134 Minigun
A Hand Held M134 Minigun is seen being used by an unnamed NEST soldier in Shanghai. Movie armorer Steve Karnes had the following to say about the film thread on our discussion forum: "You missed the hand held Dillon M134DT Titanium Minigun with a carbon fiber backpack ammo box with power source. I designed and built the hand hold mount for the Minigun. It's a different set up than the old style used in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The set up for Transformers 2 is the same one we used in G.I. Joe except it was a standard M134 and not the Titanium model."

Browning M1919A4
The Hummer HXs and H3Ts used by NEST are armed with mocked up Browning M1919A4s, made to looke like futuristic tri-barreled rotary guns that somewhat resemble the GAU-19/A by the addition of cosmetic outer barrels and spade grips.

Marines' AH-1W Super Cobras are seen with their three-barreled version of the GE M61 Vulcan, the General Dynamics M197 Vulcan.
M61 Vulcan
The M61 Vulcan appears in the film as the secondary armament of USAF F-16 Fighting Falcons and US Navy F/A-18E Super Hornets.

AH-64 Apaches with their M230 Chain Gun are seen at the film's beginning.

Starscream can be seen firing his arm-mounted rotary weapon that resembles the M61A2 Vulcan several times in the movie.

During the battle in Egypt, two NEST soldiers riding in Ironhide's bed are armed with unmodified M4A1 carbine with attached M203 grenade launchers. U.S. Army soldiers and Marines also have M203s on their M4A1s.
