'''''The Turncoat''''' is a 2020 four-part film drama directed by Florian Gallenberger (''[[John Rabe]]'', ''[[Colonia]]'') based on the novel of the same name by Siegfried Lenz. Summer 1944: Wehrmacht soldier Walter Proska has to go back to the Eastern Front. There he ends up with the unit of Willy Stehauf, a ruined bunch that fights in vain in the swamps of Rokitno against mosquitoes, partisans, and gradual madness. His officer's cruelty, his regime-critical comrade Wolfgang, but above all his love for partisan Wanda, also make Walter increasingly doubt the meaning of the war.

The Turncoat is a 2020 four-part film drama directed by Florian Gallenberger (John Rabe, Colonia) based on the novel of the same name by Siegfried Lenz.

The following weapons were used in the miniseries The Turncoat:

Pistols

Luger P08

Unteroffizier (Sergeant) Wilhelm "Willi" Stehauf (Rainer Bock) is armed with a Luger P08 pistol.

Luger P08 - 9x19mm Parabellum
Stehauf unlocks his Luger.
He presses the pistol into Walter's belly (Ep. 1).
The Luger is fired by him (Ep. 2).

Tokarev TT-33

The Tokarev TT-33 is used by the Polish partisan Wanda Zielinski (Malgorzata Mikolajczak).

Tokarev TT-33 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev
Wanda points her TT at Walter's head to wake him up.
Again, she is seen holding the pistol at Walter (Ep. 2).

Walther P38

The leader of the partisan group (Wieslaw Zanowicz) is seen with a Walther P38 with black grips.

Walther P38 - 9x19mm Parabellum
The leader threatens Zwiczosbirski.
A few moments later, he takes aim at Walter.
A view of the black grips (Ep. 2).

Submachine Guns

MP 40

MP 40s are used by Stehauf in the first episode and some partisans in episode 2.

Maschinenpistole 40 - 9x19mm Parabellum
Stehauf opens fire with his MP 40.
The partisan in center. Note the Kar98k on the left with a straight bolt handle.
Another partisan (Krzysztof Ogonek) with his MP 40 in hand about to disarm Walter.

PPSh-41

PPSh-41 submachine guns with 35-stick and 71-drum magazines are used by Soviet Soldiers. Zwiczosbirski (Adam Venhaus) brings two captured PPShs to Stehauf. In the third episode, Walter uses a PPSh against some Volkssturm members.

PPSh-41 with 35-round box magazine - 7.62x25mm Tokarev
PPSh-41 with 71-round drum magazine - 7.62x25mm Tokarev
Zwiczosbirski with his captured PPShs enters the bunker (Ep. 2).
At the end of the second episode, two Soviet soldiers force Walter to surrender.
Walter, now in the Red Army, makes use of a PPSh with stick magazine.
He searches Kurt Rogalski's (Shenja Lacher) farmhouse.
