The majority of the officers are seen carrying the Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB. Officer Carey Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg) is notably seen with it when entering the lighting store.
Smith and Wesson Model 60
A Smith & Wesson Model 60 is drawn by Captain Pete Lassard (Howard Hesseman).
Colt Python
Sgt. Kirkland (Colleen Camp) carries a Colt Python as her sidearm. She mentions to Tackleberry that she loads it with "158 grain jacketed semi-wadcutter 'man'-stoppers".
