Peasant Son (Krestyanskiy syn) is a Soviet 1975 adventure war movie, adapted from same title novel by Raisa Grigoryeva and directed by Irina Tarkovskaya. During the Russian Civil war a peasant lad Kostya Baykov joins Red partisans.
The following weapons were used in the film Peasant Son (Krestyanskiy syn):
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are widely used in the movie by Reds, notably Ignat Gomozov (Yuriy Sherstnyov) and Andrey Petrakov (Georgiy Burkov), and Whites. Fed'ka Poklonov (Vyacheslav Glushkov) and some other village kids also hold Nagants in several scenes.
Note: see additional images of talk page.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Andrey Petrakov (Georgiy Burkov) gets a Mauser C96 that belonged to the chieftan of Anarchists (Rasmi Dzhabrailov) and uses the pistol in following scenes. This C96 appears to be Wartime Commercial model.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891
Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles are used by Red partisans, White soldiers and bandits.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Some White Army soldiers are armed with out of time Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines.
Mosin Nagant Short Rifle
Red partisans, White Army soldiers and bandits are also armed with custom shortened Mosin Nagant M1891/30s. Visually they resemble M1907 Carbines. Such props are seen in several other Gorky Film Studio productions.
Mosin Nagant "Obrez"
A bandit Ryzhiy (Yuriy Legkov) carries a Mosin Nagant sawed-off "obrez".
Berdan No.2
A partisan holds a rifle that is supposed to be a Berdan No.2 rifle.
Unidentified Rifle
A partisan is seen carrying a rifle that has protruding magazine but of different shape than Mosin Nagant rifles. This gun may be some Mannlicher model though the bolt handle is positioned differently.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
Some partisans are armed with Double Barreled Shotguns.
Single Barreled Shotgun
A Single Barreled Shotgun (supposedly some IZh model) is seen among partisans guns.
Machine Guns
Lewis Machine Gun
A Lewis machine gun is seen in several scenes, at first used by bandits and then by Red partisans. During the final battle the same Lewis is mounted on Sokolov mount (absolutely incredible combination). This movie prop, identified by a makeshift barrel cover (supposedly it's a damaged piece that was very roughly repared on cinema factory), is seen in several other Gorky Film Studio productions, including Konets imperatora taygi, Khleb, zoloto, nagan, Ne stavte Leshemu kapkany... and Smotri v oba!.
Maxim M1910
The gang has a Maxim M1910 machine gun.
Other Weapons
RGD-5 Hand Grenade
In one scene partisan Pasha (Aleksandr Yanvaryov) holds an egg-shaped hand grenade. As it seems to lack external ribbing, it appears to be a heavily out of time RGD-5.
Stick Hand Grenade
Mockup hand grenades, resembling RG-14, are seen in several scenes.
