The following firearms were used in the 1984-1991 television series Hunter:
Desert Eagle
LAPD Sgt. Rick Hunter (Fred Dryer) uses a stainless .44 Magnum Desert Eagle with an extended barrel during the pilot episode and some episodes of the second season. The Desert Eagle is explained to be a gift from his Mafia father at his graduation.
Heckler & Koch P9S
Hunter uses a Heckler & Koch P9S with a muzzle compensator during the first season. This pistol is also seen during the opening credits.
Beretta Model 90
Hunter's partner, Sgt. Dee Dee McCall (Stepfanie Kramer) uses a Beretta Model 90 during the first season.
Walther PPK
McCall uses a .32 ACP Walther PPK during the first two seasons.
Franchi SPAS-12
Hunter keeps a Franchi SPAS-12 in his trunk.
Smith & Wesson Model 629
Hunter uses a Smith & Wesson Model 629 with a 2.5" barrel during the second, third, and fourth season. McCall also uses one during seasons five and six.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
McCall uses a stainless .38 Special Smith & Wesson Model 60 during a fifth season episode.
