Falling Skies (2011)

Falling Skies is a 2011 upcoming TNT science fiction television series co-created by Steven Spielberg. Set sometime after an alien invasion has devastated the planet, the series stars Noah Wyle as Tom Mason, a former college professor who becomes the leader of a resistance movement consisting of soldiers and civilians that rises up against the occupying alien force.

Assault Rifles & Carbines

AKM

Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) uses an AKM as his preferred weapon.

Norinco Type 56-1

Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) is also see carrying a Norinco Type 56-1, the Chinese underfolding stock copy of the AKMS, with its distinctive hooded front sight.

Several resistance fighters are seen armed with M16A2 rifles.

Heckler & Koch Rifle

A rifle of the Heckler & Koch pattern can be seen being used by the human survivors. It is possible that this is the civilian version of the Heckler & Koch G3, the HK91, as noted by the lack of the grenade launching lug on the barrel. It also appears to have a flashlight attached to side of the front sight block.
