Cop (1988)
Cop is a 1988 crime thriller starring James Woods as an on-the-edge detective who goes to extremes to capture a serial killer. This film was adapted from a novel written by James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential).

Det. Lloyd Hopkins (James Woods) carries Colt Detective Special snubnose revolvers as both his main sidearm and as a backup.
Ithaca 37
Det. Dutch Peltz (Charles Durning uses a 12-gauge Ithaca 37 when he and attempt to take down a suspect sitting in a car. An Ithaca with a sawed off stock is seen in a gun rack at the home of Sheriff's Deputy Delbert 'Whitey' Haines (Charles Haid). Both Haines and Hopkins are seen using it.
