CSI: NY is the second spin-off series in the CSI television franchise. The series focuses on the Crime Scene Investigative Unit of the New York Police Department, which is headed up by Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and other investigators in the unit include Det. Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes), Detective Don Flack (Eddie Cahill), Detective Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo), Detective Lindsay Monroe Messer (Anna Belknap) and beginning in Season 7, CSI Jo Danville (Sela Ward). The series premiered in 2004 and ran for nine seasons on CBS.
