Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon-style, World War 2-like action video game developed by EA and DICE. Most of the game is third-person and the guns are simply renamed and have different variants for different purposes. The game uses battlefunds, which can be purchased with real money, to let players buy exclusive items and custom weapons and modern weapons from the Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor promotional material.
Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon-style action video game developed by EA and DICE. It is played from context-specific third- and first-person shooter perspectives. The game is less demanding on computer specifications than the previous games of the series to increase the audience base. In addition, the game match players of similar levels together for fairer play.

EA recently announced that the game had reached three million registered users.

Heroes is the first Battlefield game to be released under Electronic Arts' new "Play 4 Free" model, which will see the game released for free with revenue generated from advertising and micropayments. Advertisements appear on the website and the 'front-end' of the game although none appear while playing, while micropayments may be made for additional items to customize the appearance of players' avatars or to buy stronger weapons. Furthermore, purchasable BattleFunds can be used to redeem rate boosts to experience points along with other items.

Unfortunately, as of 14 July 2015, Battlefield Heroes, along with Battlefield Play4Free and other free-to-play games under EA Games, are no longer online due to the lack of a sufficient playerbase to keep them active.

The Carl's Cold Comfort pistol is the best standard handgun for a Royal soldier in Battlefield Heroes. It is only available to Royal Army commandos. Of course It is a completely fictional handgun but it resembles the M1911A1 pistol. In the game it is long range, and the cartridge carries 6 bullets. It takes 2 seconds to reload, and the rate of fire is 450 RPM. The velocity is 600. Short distance (<12 m) can average damage from 3-9. Medium distance (12-20 m) can average damage from 13-15. Long distance (>20 m) can average damage from 3-9. You have a critical hit chance of 0.03, and the critical hit damage is 10.

Nagant M1895
A Nagant M1895 revolver with custom ivory grips is to be added in the next update as a new spy weapon. It was created by Shaylyn "Chemical Alia" Hamm for the Polycount Pack contest. Ingame details are unknown. This particular model is notable for being one of the most accurate depictions of the gun it's based on in the whole game.
+
Sidearms
 +
Available in three different types; short-ranged and fast-firing, medium-range and medium ROF, and slow but long-ranged. The variants of the M1911A1 and the Luger are identical in performance, as are the revolver and the C96. All the pistols have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.

The Mauser C96 is the second Nationals pistol. Like the revolver, it is better than the Luger P08, but costs more and only be used by Heroes that are level ten.
 +
Variants are called Florenz' Uber Flurry, Ludwig's Uber Loaded, and Gerhart's Uber Greatest.

Winchester Model 1912
 +
The Winchester Model 1912 appears as Stewart's Shotty 12 round (short), Hubble's Double Trouble 10 round (medium), and Slugger 8 round (long) and Stewart's Dapper Shotty which is a gold reskin of the standard Shotty with the Royals, with wood furniture, and as Freidrich's Fly Swatter 12 round (short), Steiner's Shotgun 10 round (medium), and Uwe's Overpowered 8 round (long) and as Friedrich's Stylish Fly Swatter which is a reskin of the standard fly swatter. All of the basic Nationalist shotguns have black furniture.

The Spy was shown with a Baikal MCM in the first Team Fortress 2 trailer, to be used as a Tranquilizer gun like in the previous Team Fortress games. It was replaced with the Revolver by the game's release. The model, though not usable, remains within the game's files.

Unidentified Sawed-off double barrel shotgun
 +
This is the level 10 shotguns, and they are as follows: Royal: Stewart's Super Shotty 15 round (short), Hubble's Super Double Trouble 13 round (medium) and Super Slugger 11 round (long) with wood furniture. Nationalists: Friedrich's Uber Fly Swatter 15 round (short), Steiner's Uber Shotgun 13 round (medium), and Uwe's Uber Overpowered 11 round (long) with black furniture.

Mossberg 590 (with shorter barrel and M4 stock)
 +
A Mossberg 590 with a shorter barrel, spare shell holder, and an M4 stock appears as a new modern shotgun for the Royals. Unlike the Tier 1 and 2 shotguns, this and the custom Remington 870 are the only shotguns with a "Very Slow" rate of fire and higher damage output.

Submachine Guns
 +
Available in the same three variants as the pistols, though the level ten guns are the weapon as the standard guns, only a different variant. All the submachine guns have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.
 +
Thompson
 +
The Thompson is the Royals submachine gun. The standard variants are called Tommy's Typewriter (fast), Charlie's Chopper (medium), and Greg's Greasy Gun.
 +
The level ten versions are called Tommy's Super Typewriter, Charlie's Super Chopper and Greg's Super Greasy Gun. There is also Tommy's Dapper Typewriter, which is just a reskin of the original Typewriter.

The Ithaca 37, with sawed-off stock and barrel, is the primary weapon for the Engineer class, and the secondary weapon for the Soldier, Pyro, and Heavy classes. It is simply referred to as "Shotgun" in the game. Like the Spy, the Engineer is capable enough at close fighting but is not usually found seeking out skirmishes, as his shotgun's main purpose is to defend him while he is setting up his buildings. At close range, the Shotgun will deal great damage, but its damage will fall off noticeably at mid range. The others classes that use the Shotgun as a secondary weapon have highly-damaging primary weapons, and use the Shotgun to finish off injured opponents, or to conserve primary weapon ammo.
+
The standard versions is an M1A1 Thompson, while the level ten versions look like an M1928 with a vertical foregrip, compensator and a fifty-round drum magazine.

The MP40 is the Nationalist submachine gun. Available in the same variants as the Thompson, these are called Rudolf's Rescue (fast), The Kommandant (medium) and The Wacky Machine Gun (slow).

Assault Rifles
 +
The assault rifles are all part of the tie-in stuff from Bad Company 2 or Medal of Honor. Both the Bad Company 2 assault rifles have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.
 +
Classified as submachine guns in the game, they perform like the standard level ten SMGs.
 +
M4A1
 +
The M4A1 is the Royals' Bad Company 2 tie-in submachine gun. Incorrectly called M16. The M4A1 is a fast, short-range weapon.
 +
The Royal's Medal of Honor tie-in submachine gun is also an M4A1, thought this time with an ACOG scope replacing the carrying handle. This is a long-range, slow-firing weapon, and is called Tier 1 Elite M16.

Dubbed "Frontier Justice". It is the primary unlockable for the Engineer. It has full stock, full barrel length, engravings and a battery chamber on the right side. In game it cannot get random critical hits, instead having "revenge crits" for every kill gotten with a destroyed sentry.  Oddly, despite being longer it holds less rounds than the regular shotgun (one possible explanation is that it's plugged to meet US duck hunting regulations).
+
AK-74M
 +
The AK-74M is the National's Bad Company 2 tie-in submachine gun. Like the M4A1, it's a fast, short-range weapon.

+
The Medal of Honor tie-in is also an AK-74M, this time with a scope and a bayonet, which is called Specialist's Tier 1 AK74. Like the MoH M4A1, it's a slow-firing, long-range weapon.

Lewis Gun
 +
The Lewis Gun is the starting gun for the Royals. The standard variants are: The Cheeser 130 round mags (fast), Maxwell's Machinegun 110 round mags (medium), and Bernie's Bone Chewer 120 round mags (slow). There is also a Bernie's Dapper Bone Chewer, which is a gold reskin of the standard Bone Chewer.

 +

A Remington 700, with a visible laser sight and cartoonishly large scope, is the primary weapon for the Sniper class. It is called "Sniper Rifle", and in this rendition, its internal magazine only holds one projectile, and the Sniper carries 25 cartridges with him, inserting one every time he pulls the bolt open. Targeting through the scope will charge the projectile and make it hit harder when fired. A max charge of around 4 seconds is enough to take out lower-health classes with a body shot, but large classes like the Heavy will need multiple shots or a clean head shot. The rifle can be fired without looking through the scope, but the damage is the minimum damage the rifle can cause and headshots are not possible in this way. This is the only hitscan weapon in the game (not counting sentries or critical hits) that has no damage falloff (reduced damage over long range).
+
Vickers
+
The Vickers is the level 10 weapon for the Royals. The variants are The Super Cheeser 130 round mags (fast), Maxwell's Super Machinegun 110 round mags (medium), and Bernie's Super Bone Chewer 120 round mags (slow).

M249
 +
The M249 appears in the game as the M249 120 round mag slow machine gun implemented into the game when Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released, and as Tier 1 Elite M249 which is a 130 round mag fast machine gun and has a desert camo paint scheme and was implemented into the game because of Medal of Honor (2010)
 +

The "SMG" is the secondary weapon for the Sniper class. It seems to be a cartoony amalgamation of several SMG designs: the outline resembles an enlarged Mauser M712 or Walther MP series, the back sights and bolt resemble those of the Thompson M1. It deals very low damage and is of average accuracy, but its very rapid fire can pile on damage quickly if aimed well. It has a 25-round magazine and the Sniper carries 3 more magazines. Like the other Support and Defense classes, the Sniper isn't meant to go into the front lines with this weapon, but rather, be able to defend himself during medium-range combat, when taking the time to snipe an incoming enemy is an impractical proposition.
+
MG 34
 +
The MG 34 is the Nationalists starter Gunner weapon. There are three different versions: The Backscratcher 130 round mags (fast), Rudi's Ridiculous 110 round mags (medium), and Wolfgang's Wonderful 120 round mags (slow). There is also Wolfgang's Stylish Wonderful which is a reskin of the standard Wonderful.

The Ambassador, an unlockable Spy weapon, is a stylized version of the Dan Wesson PPC .357 revolver heavily customized with a decorated barrel and rosewood handle, and is more accurate than the Revolver. However, it deals less damage (unless the player gets a headshot with it, resulting in a devastating critical hit) and is slower.

 +
The MG17 can be seen mounted on the wingspan of the National's Messerschmitt Bf 109.

In addition to that, the model is missing three things essential to its operation in real life:
+
PKM
 +
The PKM appears as PKM for the Nationalists and is a 120 round mag slow machine gun. It was implemented into the game when Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released, and as Tier 1 Elite PKM which is a 130 round mag fast machine gun with a desert camo paint scheme and was implemented into the game as a Medal of Honor tie-in.

*An opening in the rear of the barrel for the bullet to go through (especially noticeable during the reload animation). The barrel's blocked off like it was a deactivated gun.

*The crane and the ejector rod stay stuck in the frame of the gun when the cylinder out of it, meaning the cylinder's just hovering in mid air with nothing connecting it to the gun itself.

Main weapon of the Commano class and available in the same three variants as the pistols and submachine guns. Once again, all weapons have Pilfered/Stolen versions, which the opposite faction can buy, except for the Medal of Honor tie-ins.
*Also, to cover up the fact that this model doesn't use a speedloader unlike the regular revolver, they moved the model closer to the screen in what appears to be an attempt to make the cylinder go partially or completely offscreen (it doesn't work at all with the default FOV).

There are three variants: Oscar's Farshot (moderate rate of fire), Pipsqueak's Popper (slow rate of fire), and the Roderick Rifle (fast rate of fire). The regular Lee Enfield has a much faster rate of fire than the real one to make it match the Gewehr 43's stats.

The RPG-16, represented in the game as the "Rocket Launcher", is the primary weapon for the Soldier class. Unlike its single-shot real-life counterpart, the Rocket Launcher can pack four rockets at a time inside the tube. The game allows for 'Rocket Jumping', wherein a Soldier shoots towards the ground as he jumps, using the blast from the explosion to propel himself through the air over large distances and over obstacles. The rockets, along with the Demoman's grenades, are the most damaging weapons in the game, a critical shot from either usually being enough to dismember most any player within the blast radius.

Battlefield Heroes (2009)

Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon-style, World War 2-like action video game developed by EA and DICE. Most of the game is third-person and the guns are simply renamed and have different variants for different purposes. The game uses battlefunds, which can be purchased with real money, to let players buy exclusive items and custom weapons and modern weapons from the Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor promotional material.

Unfortunately, as of 14 July 2015, Battlefield Heroes, along with Battlefield Play4Free and other free-to-play games under EA Games, are no longer online due to the lack of a sufficient playerbase to keep them active.

The following weapons are used in the video game Battlefield Heroes:

Factions and Classes

Royals Based on WWII UK and US, but are not actually 1940's UK and US.

Nationals Based on WWII Germany, but like the Royals, are not actually German.

There are three classes in the game, available and identical for both factions.

Soldier All-round class, which uses Submachine Guns, Shotguns or Pistols.

Commando A stealth/range class. Uses scoped Rifles, Knives or Pistols.

Gunner Fire support. Uses Machine Guns, Shotguns or Rocket Launchers.

Sidearms

Available in three different types; short-ranged and fast-firing, medium-range and medium ROF, and slow but long-ranged. The variants of the M1911A1 and the Luger are identical in performance, as are the revolver and the C96. All the pistols have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.

M1911A1

The M1911A1 is the standard pistol for Royals. Called either Garreth Custom (fast version), Carl's Cold Comfort (medium), or Harry's Hand Cannon (slow version).

M1911A1 - 45ACP.
The M1911A1 used by a Royal Soldier.

Smith & Wesson Model 10

Second pistol for Royals. Better than the M1911A1, but costs more and requires a Hero to be level ten. The variants are called Garreth Super Custom, Carl's Super Cold Comfort and Harry's Super Hand Cannon.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Revolver - .38 Special
The S&W Model 10 used by a Royal Soldier.

Luger P08

The Luger P08 is the standard pistol for Nationals. The variants are called Florenz' Flurry (fast), Ludwig's Loaded (medium), and Gerhart's Greatest (slow).

Luger P08 - 9x19mm. This is blank adapted movie gun.

Mauser C96

The Mauser C96 is the second Nationals pistol. Like the revolver, it is better than the Luger P08, but costs more and only be used by Heroes that are level ten. Variants are called Florenz' Uber Flurry, Ludwig's Uber Loaded, and Gerhart's Uber Greatest.

Micro Uzi

It has been confirmed that a Micro Uzi will appear as the new Royal modern pistol for soldiers and commandos. To balance it with the other Tier 2 weapons, the Micro Uzi will have a 15 round magazine instead.

Shotguns

Available as long, medium and short range. The shotguns are used by both factions but only the Soldier and Gunner classes can use them, and both starts with one. All the shotguns have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.

Winchester Model 1912

Mossberg 590 (with shorter barrel and M4 stock)

A Mossberg 590 with a shorter barrel, spare shell holder, and an M4 stock appears as a new modern shotgun for the Royals. Unlike the Tier 1 and 2 shotguns, this and the custom Remington 870 are the only shotguns with a "Very Slow" rate of fire and higher damage output.

Submachine Guns

Available in the same three variants as the pistols, though the level ten guns are the weapon as the standard guns, only a different variant. All the submachine guns have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy.

Thompson

The Thompson is the Royals submachine gun. The standard variants are called Tommy's Typewriter (fast), Charlie's Chopper (medium), and Greg's Greasy Gun. The level ten versions are called Tommy's Super Typewriter, Charlie's Super Chopper and Greg's Super Greasy Gun. There is also Tommy's Dapper Typewriter, which is just a reskin of the original Typewriter.

Assault Rifles

The assault rifles are all part of the tie-in stuff from Bad Company 2 or Medal of Honor. Both the Bad Company 2 assault rifles have a Stolen/Pilfered version, which the opposite faction can buy. Classified as submachine guns in the game, they perform like the standard level ten SMGs.

M4A1

The M4A1 is the Royals' Bad Company 2 tie-in submachine gun. Incorrectly called M16. The M4A1 is a fast, short-range weapon. The Royal's Medal of Honor tie-in submachine gun is also an M4A1, thought this time with an ACOG scope replacing the carrying handle. This is a long-range, slow-firing weapon, and is called Tier 1 Elite M16.

The Medal of Honor tie-in is also an AK-74M, this time with a scope and a bayonet, which is called Specialist's Tier 1 AK74. Like the MoH M4A1, it's a slow-firing, long-range weapon.

The Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III* appears as the starting sniper rifle for the Royals.
