Almost Human is a 2013 science fiction television series produced by J.J. Abrams. Set thirty-five years into the future in which a new wave of criminals armed with high-tech weaponry and a new synthetic drug plaguing the streets, the overwhelmed LAPD implements a new strategy in which all human officers are now paired with an advanced combat-model androids as partners. After being left for dead in an ambush by an android, costing him the life of his partner and right leg, Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) has a strong hatred for robot partners. But once he is paired with the Department's more older model android a DRN or Dorian (Michael Ealy), a machine with the ability to feel and act human, the two unlikely partners take on the fight to retake the city.

Handguns

LAPD Handgun

Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) and LAPD android Dorian (Michael Ealy) carry custom handguns as their sidearms in the series, with integrated laser pointers. They seem to be fabricated props, since the slide isn't seen moving (at least not in the pilot).

Det. Kennex and Dorian prepare to enter a room with their pistols drawn (S01E01).

Beretta 8000 Cougar

LAPD Captain Sandra Maldonado (Lili Taylor) and LAPD detective Valerie Stahl (Minka Kelly) use Beretta 8000 Cougar pistols in the pilot episode as their sidearms.

Glock 17 in APS Carbine stock

Reinhardt (Tim Kelleher) uses a a Glock 17 fitted into a carbine stock system during the pilot. On the surface it resembles a CAA Tactical RONI-G1 stock, however it is actually a modified APS Carbine stock which is a copy of the RON-G1 intended for Airsoft pistols. The weapon is also fitted with a small jar-like device on the forearm, and the weapon shoots plastic webs that can cover a person's face.

Timecop Beretta (visually modified Taurus PT99)

Reinhardt (Tim Kelleher) uses a "Timecop Beretta" in the pilot episode (S01E01). The name of the weapon is due to it being first mocked up for the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme sci-fi film Timecop.
