A Better Tomorrow III is a 1989 prequel to A Better Tomorrow. The film follows the experiences of Mark Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) during the time of the Vietnam War. Unlike the first two films, the third installment was not directed by John Woo, but by Tsui Hark (who produced the first two films). The film also goes by the subtitle "Love & Death in Saigon".
The following weapons were used in the film A Better Tomorrow III:
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is used by nearly all of the main characters including Mark Lee (Chow Yun-Fat), Chow Ying-Kit (Anita Mui), Cheung Chi-Mun (Tony Leung Ka Fai), Ho Cheung-Ching/Tanaka (Saburo Tokito), and Pat (Kien Shih). Triad gangsters and ARVN soldiers also use this handgun.
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket

Smith & Wesson Model 629
Chow Ying-Kit (Anita Mui) is also seen using a Smith & Wesson Model 629.
M16A1
Like the Colt M1911A1, the M16A1 is used by several characters including Mark Lee (Chow Yun-Fat), Chow Ying-Kit (Anita Mui), Cheung Chi-Mun (Tony Leung Ka Fai), as well as ARVN soldiers.
