PC Due it's low budget, this movie was filmed in low resolution, so, quality of screenshots is medium.

J&R Engineering M68 Carbine (Mocked-Up)
McGee (Leon Isaac Kennedy) fires J&R Engineering M68 Carbine with fake drum magazine at the several scenes. Numerous characters also can be seen armed with these mocked-up submachine guns. Some also feature the fake cooling barrel covers. It is difficult to explain these changes, but apparently they must be depict guns such as the Thompson M1928A1 and PPSh-41 respectively (what is strange, because both are already in the film. But perhaps these scenes were filmed in other places, where this guns were not available).

The M1928A1 Thompson is a very popular firearm in this movie.
M1928A1 Thompson with 30-round magazine - .45 ACP. This specimen has the sling swivel relocated to the top of the stock, a modification often made to Thompsons in British service.
