The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009)

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the Swedish feature film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel of the same name, which is the first of what is known as the "Millennium" series. The film stars Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist and Noomi Rapace as Lisabeth Salander, the world class female hacker looking to use her skills to find justice. The film was released in 2009 along with its two sequels (The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest). The 2011 US feature film remake was directed by David Fincher and stars Daniel Craig as Blomkvist and Rooney Mara as Salander and the series would continue in 2018 with the feature film sequel The Girl in the Spider's Web, which stars Claire Foy as Salander.
