Agent 8 3/4 (originally released in the UK as Hot Enough for June) is a 1964 British espionage comedy film directed by Ralph Thomas and starring Dirk Bogarde and Sylva Koscina. Released at the height of the popularity of the Sean Connery-led James Bond era, it is a spoof of both that series and similar spy films produced in the 1960s. The film is based on the novel The Night of Wenceslas by Lionel Davidson.
The following weapons were used in the film Agent 8 3/4:
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is used several times in the film.
Colt Police Positive
Simoneva's father (Leo McKern) carries a Colt Police Positive.
MP 40
Czechoslovak soldiers and some policemen in this movie are armed with the MP 40. In the mid-1960s, Czechoslovak military forces would have been equipped with the Sa vz. 58 assault rifle, but as Warsaw Pact equipment was extremely uncommon in the West, the production likely substituted appropriate weapons with whatever was on hand (as was the case in many Cold War-era productions depicting the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact).
Karabiner 98k
Some Czechoslovak soldiers and police are equipped with Karabiner 98k rifles.
Mangolini M70
Nicholas Whistler (Dirk Bogarde) and Vlasta Simoneva (Sylva Koscina) play a shooting gallery game at Luna Park with Air Rifles. Vlasta uses a variant of the Mangolini M70.
Unknown Air Rifle
Nicholas Whistler (Dirk Bogarde) uses an unknown air rifle at the shooting gallery.
