The Second Wind (Le Deuxième Souffle) is a 1966 French crime movie directed by Jean-Pierre Melville and starring Lino Ventura as the criminal Gustave "Gu" Minda. The movie is based on the novel by José Giovanni. A remake was released in 2007.
The following weapons are seen in the movie The Second Wind (Le Deuxième Souffle):
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Smith & Wesson Model 36 snub nose revolvers are used by several characters in several scenes.
Arminius HW-1
When Orloff's (Pierre Zimmer) Smith & Wesson Model 36 was taken by Antoine Ripa (Denis Manuel), Orloff draws his backup revolver that appears to be an Arminius HW-1. What appears to be HW-1 is also seen in hands of a police inspector during the arrest of Gu (Lino Ventura).
Smith & Wesson Military & Police (?)
A revolver is seen in hands of a police inspector in the final scene. It resembles Smith & Wesson Military & Police with 4" barrel that was shortened just to the length of ejector rod, so lacking the front sight.
Pistols
M1911A1
Gu's (Lino Ventura) favored weapon is an M1911A1 pistol. He uses it in several scenes including the robbery of the wagon.
Wz. 35 Vis
During the scene in Inspector Fardiano's car Gu's pistol switches from M1911A1 to another pistol that mostly resembles Wz. 35 Vis.
Luger P08
The favored weapon of Alban (Michel Constantin) is a Luger P08 pistol. Later he gives it to Gu (Lino Ventura) who uses this pistol in the final scene.
Walther P38
Alban (Michel Constantin) uses a Walther P38 during the shootout in the bar.
Beretta M1934
The criminal known as Jacques le Notaire (Raymond Loyer) is armed with a Beretta M1934 pistol during the bar shootout. He was shot before he had enough time to draw his weapon.
FN Browning 1903
An FN Browning 1903 is used by one of Jo Ricci's (Marcel Bozzuffi) hitmen. The other hitman's pistol is seen blurry but it also can be Model 1903.
Submachine guns
MAS-38
In the scene of the robbery the motorcyclists in escort of the wagon are armed with MAS-38 SMGs.
Rifles
Gevarm .22 Rifle
During the robbery of the wagon Antoine Ripa (Denis Manuel) is armed with a sniper rifle. Just before the attack he decides to remove the sniper scope and use iron sights. The rifle is supposed to be a Gevarm semi auto rifle in .22 caliber. It looks similar to E1 model but differs a little.
