X2 (also known as X2: X-Men United) is the second installment in the X-Men film franchise that began with the original 2000 film. The 2003 sequel featured most of the cast from that film and Bryan Singer returned as director. The story of the current X-Men would culminate in 2007's X-Men: The Last Stand.
See the Discussion page for extra trivia images and info.
The following weapons were used in the film X2:
Handguns
SIG-Sauer P228
The handguns used by the Secret Service agents and USSS Uniformed Division officers during the White House attack are SIG-Sauer P228 pistols. In real life, the 9x19mm P228 was used by Secret Service until it was replaced by the SIG-Sauer P229 chambered in .357 SIG.
Glock 17
Boston Police Department officers can be seen using Glock 17s as their sidearms in the film, one of them shooting Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in the head, though he survives the seemingly fatal shot and is able to walk away, much to the officer's bewilderment. Both second and third generation variants are seen. The officer that fires has a 3rd Generation G17, noted by the accessory rail. Later on the film Sgt. Lyman uses a Glock 17 on Mystique but when he is guarding Cerebro 2 it changes to a Walther P99.
Walther P99
Col. Stryker's soldiers at the Alkali Lake base can be seen carrying Walther P99 pistols as their sidearms.
Submachine Guns
FN P90
The FN P90 can be seen being used by the Black Ops team led by Col. Stryker (Brian Cox). They are fitted with tactical flashlights and suppressors (though the full sound of the P90 is heard when fired). Some of the P90s are also seen equipped with some sort of Tazer, most likely used as some sort of less-lethal CQB weapon.
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
The Heckler & Koch MP5A5 can be seen being used by Secret Service ERT members in the White House attack, fitted with Surefire dedicated forend weaponlights.
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
Col. Stryker's soldiers at the Alkali Lake complex can be seen armed primarily with M4A1 carbines fitted with RIS foregrips, tactical weaponlights and laser sights.
Grenades
Spike Grenade
Grenades are used by the commandos at the school as spike grenades and by the soldiers at Alkali Lake though they are likely the same prop. The Commandos that raid the school all seem to have some kind of spike grenade though it is likely a fictitious weapon meant to be planted on walls or ice.
Fragmentation Grenade
Magneto (Ian McKellen) uses his magnetic powers to pull the pins on the Alkali Lake soldier's grenades to kill them all. Although portrayed as High-Explosive Fragmentation (HE-Frag), they look more like the M84 stun grenade than any HE-Frag grenades in the inventory.
Other
Yurikko's Plastic Dart Gun
Commando Dart Gun
The commandos who raid the school are all armed with Dart Guns in addition to their P90s to prevent "A dead mutant kid on the 6 o'clock news", the President's main concern about the raid.
