Forsaken is a 2015 co-production American-Canadian-French Western movie directed by Jon Cassar. The movie marked the first onscreen pairing of actor Kiefer Sutherland and his father Donald Sutherland in a feature film (that two had appeared previously in Max Dugan Returns and A Time to Kill, but not in the same scene). The film stars Kiefer Sutherland as a retired gunfighter John Henry Clayton who returns to his hometown to repair his relationship with his reverend father Samuel Clayton (Donald Sutherland), but soon has to return to his old ways when a gang threatens the town.
The following weapons were used in the film Forsaken:
Revolvers
Single Action Army
Single Action Army "Civilian" Model
John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) uses a Single Action Army "Civilian" Model revolver during the climactic shootout in the saloon. "Civilian" Model revolvers are also seen in hands of several mercenaries, notably Bob Waters (Chris Ippolito).
Single Action Army "Artillery" Model
Single Action Army "Artillery" Model revolvers are used by mercenaries Clyde Burnett (Micheal Mitchell) and Tim Slade (Lex Cassar). Due to a continuity error, the "Cavalry" revolver of the leader of the gang Frank Tillman (Aaron Poole) switches to an "Artillery" revolver in one scene.
Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model
Frank Tillman (Aaron Poole) and one of his men, Dan Thompson (uncredited), use Single Action Army "Cavalry" Model revolvers.
Colt Model 1877 Lightning
Wealthy landowner and saloon owner James MacCardy (Brian Cox) carries a nickel plated Colt Model 1877 Lightning.
Several mercenaries, notably Dave Turner (Michael Wincott) and Little Ned (Dylan Smith), carry Colt 1851 Navy revolvers. The screen guns seem to be some kind of cartridge conversion although the details are difficult to consider. It's worth noting that a promotional image shows Michael Wincott holding a dummy (even without the muzzle) of percussion cap Colt 1851 Navy that looks radically different from the gun, used by Wincott's character on screen.
LeMat 1861
John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) also uses a LeMat 1861 revolver that he takes from Mr. Parsons' store. The revolver is a cartridge conversion.
Starr 1858 Army
Due to continuity errors, Bob Waters' (Chris Ippolito) revolver several times switches between a Starr 1858 Army and a Single Action Army.
Smith & Wesson "Wells Fargo" Schofield
During the shootout in the saloon, mercenary Ed Tealy (Justin Michael Carriere) is armed with a Smith & Wesson "Wells Fargo" Schofield revolver.
Forehand & Wadsworth and Smith & Wesson 4th Model
Two top-break compact revolvers are seen in Mr. Parsons' store together with the LeMat revolver. One of them can be identified as a Forehand & Wadsworth. Due to its size, it may be a .38 rather than a .32 model. The second top-break compact revolver in the store is a Smith & Wesson 4th Model (or maybe but less likely Iver Johnson Safety Automatic).
Rifles
Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy"
Frank Tillman (Aaron Poole) uses a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" rifle when firing at farmer Chadwick. One of the Chadwick gang members (Terry A. Brown) is also armed with a "Yellow Boy" rifle during the shootout on the farm.
Winchester Model 1873
During the same shootout on the farm, one more of Chadwick's men (Joel Jackshaw) is seen with a Winchester Model 1873 carbine.
Winchester Model 1892
An anachronistic Winchester Model 1892 short rifle is seen in hands of an uncredited townsman.
Unidentified lever action rifle
One more of Chadwick's men (Cliff Liknes) is armed with a lever action rifle. A Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" rifle is a possible but unproved guess.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
In several scenes Daniel Peterson (Christopher Rosamond) and Mr. Chadwick (Don Bland) use Double Barreled Shotguns.
Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun
John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) uses a Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun. The gun is a large caliber, maybe a 10 gauge or even with a bigger bore.
Long Guns in Mr. Parsons' Store
A number of rifles and shotguns can be seen in Mr. Parsons' store. Some of them can be identified quite well.
From right to left: 1 - Double Barreled Shotgun, 2 - Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun (same gun that is used by John Henry Clayton), 3 - Sharps carbine of unclear model, most likely a M1859 or M1863, 4 - Coach Gun, 5 - unidentified rifle with underbarrel tube magazine (or maybe this detail is a ramrod), 6 - another Sharps carbine, 7 - one more unidentified long gun, 8 - one more Sharps carbine.
