Midnight Run (1988)

Colt Detective Special

At the beginning of the film Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) uses a Colt Detective Special as his main weapon until he has to check the revolver before boarding a commercial flight and never retrieving it.

Colt Detective Special 1st Gen - .38 Special

Walsh sneaks through the criminal's hideout.

Walsh holds his Detective Special on Mardukas, impersonating FBI agent Alonzo Mosley.

M1911A1

The criminal Jack runs down at the start of the film is armed with a nickel-plated M1911A1.

Remington 870

Both Marvin (John Ashton) and the criminal chased by he and Walsh in the beginning have Remington 870 shotguns. Marvin's has an extended magazine tube, while the criminal carries a sawed-off variant.

Policemen carry Ithaca 37 shotguns.

Ruger Mini-14

A Ruger Mini-14 is used by the snipers hired by the Chicago mob to try and kill Jack Walsh and Jonathan Mardukas (Charles Grodin).

Ruger AC556 Carbine - 5.56x45mm. This is the full automatic version of the Mini 14 with a distinctive Barrel and bayonet lug. Ruger also offers the Mini-14 GB ("Government Barrel" Model) which is a semi automatic only version of the AC556 for Law Enforcement and (some) civilian sales. The Full Auto AC556 has a distinctive Auto Selector Switch on the back of the receiver that the Semi Auto Ruger Mini 14 does not.

Another Chicago mob sniper carries a Remington Model 7600 pump-action rifle.

Smith & Wesson Model 64

FBI agent Alonzo Mosley (Yaphet Kotto) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 64.

Smith & Wesson Model 64 with 3 inch barrel-.38 Special. This is the modern production version of the Model 64. Early variants matched the shape of the earlier Model 10, except in Stainless Steel.

Marvin (John Ashton) also carries a Beretta 92FS Inox.

Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) takes a Beretta 92SB from Marvin (John Ashton) to shoot down a Mafia helicopter.

Walsh fires the Beretta.

Walsh aims the Beretta as Marvin stands behind him with a Remington 870.

Walsh takes aim at the helicopter.

Walsh holds his Beretta while dragging Mardukas.
