The Type 85 is a Chinese heavy machine gun. It is a second-generation Chinese indigenous HMG derived from the Type 77 HMG. It is not to be confused with the W-85 heavy machine gun.
Its export variant is named W-95 (W standing for 外贸, wài mào, "export"), and is chambered in .50 BMG.
