Dollar for the Dead is a 1998 American film directed by Gene Quintano and starring Emilio Estevez in his third role in a Western film.

Dollar for the Dead is considered more than anything as an homage or tribute to the iconic Spaghetti Westerns of the mid-1960s and 1970s, which by then had ceased to have relevance and success among the public.

Revolvers

Colt Single Action Army

The Cowboy/Man with No Name (Emilio Estevez) arms himself with two Colt Single Action Armys to continue fighting against the outlaws who want him dead. All of the outlaws looking for Cowboy/Man with No Name carry Colt Single Action Armys. Fray Ramón (Joaquim de Almeida) uses a curious Colt Single Action Army with a 3.5" inch barrel (also known as the "Sheriff" model). Captain Skinner (Jonathan Banks) carries a Colt Single Action Army with a 7.5" barrel inch as his service weapon. American soldiers are mostly armed with Colt Single Action Armys during their travels. Reager (Howie Long) carries a Colt Single Action Army with a 7.5" barrel and a nickel-plated finish which he uses during the final gunfight. Dooley (William Forsythe) also carries a Colt Single Action Army, that he uses sometimes.

Reager appears in the film's climatic shootout armed with a Colt SAA with a nickel-plated finish that is nothing familiar.

Colt 1873 Single Action Army w/ 7.5" barrel - .45 Long Colt

After a fall into a ravine that was supposed to be almost certain death, Colonel Skinner appears in the final shootout armed with his Colt SAA.

Skinner aims his Colt SAA at the Nameless Man, but misses his shot.

Skinner is wounded by a shot from the Man With No Name, however, he decides to die with his Colt SAA in hand.

Colt 1873 Single Action Army w/ 5.5" barrel - .45 Long Colt

One of the outlaws who confronts the Man with No Name at the local bar displays his Colt SAA before attempting to shoot the man he is looking for.

Conveniently located under a horse's saddle are two Colt SAAs that the Man with No Name uses against the outlaws.
Note the brass trigger guard of both Colt SAA which identifies them as non-original replicas, probably from Uberti.

Seeing a horde of soldiers riding towards him, Dooley takes out his Colt SAA and attempts to eliminate some of them.

One of Akers' henchmen knocks on the door to make sure of his boss is okay, consequently, he is hit by gunshots.

Colt 1873 Single Action Army w/ 4.75" barrel - .45 Long Colt

Seeing a horde of soldiers chasing him, Dooley takes out his Colt SAA again to try to eliminate one of them, however, his aim is terrible due to his disability.

During the firefight against the Mexican soldiers/Federale Captain's men, Dooley musteres the courage to use two Colt SAAs against the soldiers.

After using the Man with No Name's Gatling gun, Dooley appears on the battlefield armed with his Colt SAA.

Colt 1873 Single Action Army w/ 3.5" barrel and removed ejector rod - .38 Long Colt

Fray Ramón draws and points his Colt SAA "Shorty" at Captain Federal, but the latter resists being killed by a priest.

After a brief struggle, the Federale Captain throw Ramón's Colt SAA to the floor.

Ramón re-arms himself with his Colt SAA and takes aim at the Federale Captain, but he repents of his sinful desires.

Colt Lightning

The Cowboy/Man with no Name (Emilio Estevez) is the only character in the film who uses the Colt Lightning for his personal protection. Cowboy carries two Colt Lightnings, which have the advantage of having a double-action revolver compared to the old single-action revolvers.

The Man with No Name throughout the film has the habit of using his two Colt Lightnings akimbo, almost uninterruptedly and in slow motion in the purest John Woo style.

The Man with No Name finally confronts Akers, in a situation where both sides have no advantages over each other (Mexican standoff), but Akers is more cowardly and surrenders.

The Man with No Name aims and tries to hit a fistful of dynamite found in Dooley's stagecoach, in order to save the latter.

The Man with No Name aims his Colt Lightning to finally kill the man responsible for his wife's murder, but decides not to pull the trigger and spare his life.

Colt New Service

Akers (Simón Andreu) is armed with a Colt New Service as his personal sidearm, although it is seen mostly holstered. Later, the Man with No Name (Emilio Estevez) arms himself with Akers' Colt New Service and uses it against the waiters.

The Man with No Name finally confronts Akers, in a situation where both sides have no advantages over each other (Mexican standoff), but Akers is more cowardly and surrenders.

Akers throw his Colt New Service and gun belt on the poker table to save his life, doing so at the cost of giving away information and getting punched.

The Nameless Man uses one of his Colt Lightnings and Akers' Colt New Service to blow a hole in the floor and escape from the angry crowd of people trying to open the door.
Don't question if he reloads his double-action revolvers, the answer is no...

Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action

The Federale Captain (Jordi Mollà) carries a Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action as a service weapon during some moments in the film.

Rifles

Garate El Tigre

At the beginning of the film, the outlaws searching for the Man with No Name (Emilio Estevez) use the Garate El Tigre. The Man with No Name uses one of the outlaws' rifles to eliminate the last of them. Reager's henchmen also carry Garante El Tigre rifles. The Federale Captain (Jordi Mollà) uses a Garate El Tigre during the final shootout of the film. Taking into account that the film was filmed in Spain, the rifle we see on screen is that country's copy of the Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine.

Garate El Tigre - .44 Largo

The Man with No Name manages to unsheathe a Garate El Tigre from a horse's saddle and pulls the lever to get rid of the last of the outlaws who were bothering them.

The Man with No Name emerges victorious while he holds the Garate El Tigre.

Several outlaws arrive at Dooley's cabin in search of the Nameless Man, one of them stands out for being armed with a Garate El Tigre.
Note: In case you haven't noticed yet, these outlaws are inspired by the gunslingers of Once Upon a Time in the West.

The Federale Captain arms himself with a Garate El Tigre during the climactic battle, apparently forgetting that he had a Smith & Wesson .44 double-action that he never used again.

Mauser Model 1893

Mexican soldiers also carry 1893 Spanish Mausers as their service long guns, seen primarily during the film's climactic shootout.

The Man with No Name performs an impressive acrobatic jump to avoid the Mexican soldiers and their Model 1893 Mausers.

Martini-Henry Mk. I

When the town officers prepare to shoot Jacob Colby (Ed Lauter), one of them carries a Martini-Henry Rifle, probably a Spanish replica.

During the lead-up to Jacob Colby's (Ed Lauter) execution, some soldiers reload or hold their Trapdoor Springfield Rifles, both the Cavalry Carbine and the regular variant.

Machine Guns

M1865 Gatling Gun

The coffin that the Man with No Name (Emilio Estevez) carries throughout the film with the help of his horse has a Gatling Gun inside that is used by Dooley (William Forsythe) to help the Man with No Name. Does it sound familiar?

Colt Gatling Gun - .45-70 Government

Dooley opens the coffin and reveals that inside is a Gatling Gun and two unidentified firearms (probably a Smith & Wesson revolver and a Sharps rifle).

In a relatively short time, Dooley manages to install the Man with No Name's Gatling Gun on a high hill.

Dooley begins firing the Gatling Gun at all living things in the Mexican military fort.

Due to this surprise attack, the soldiers seek cover while Dooley observes the chaos and cranks the handle of the Gatling Gun.
This shot and scene is (probably) based on the final scene of A Reason to Live, A Reason to Die, where a Gatling Gun is also used.

Shotguns

12 Gauge Double-Barreled Shotgun

Dooley (William Forsythe) has a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun stored in his stagecoach that he rarely uses. Jacob Colby (Ed Lauter) arms himself with Dooley's double-barreled shotgun when he has a disagreement with the latter.

J. Stevens and Company Double-Barreled Shotgun - 12 gauge

One of the men from the cantina who was protecting Akers appears with a double-barreled shotgun to try to kill the Man with No Name.

Having acted like a trustworthy man, Jacob Colby betrays the Man with No Name and Dooley, using the latter's double-barreled shotgun.
