If it doesn't appear in an eligible piece of media that you're planning to make a page (a complete page, with screenshots) for in the immediate future, then there's no reason to make a page for it. Even then, people typically make a gun's page ''after'' making the page for the media they appear in. If you want to have all the code and text ready to go, you can just save it to your sandbox - a gun page with no media appearances has no business being here. :So, you don't have any piece of media in mind? If so, the page ought to be deleted - it could be retained as a talk page or something if you're really concerned about availability of information, but the page itself has no reason to exist. For what it's worth, the problem you're talking about is pretty much a non-issue - there's no real "rush" to make a new gun page once it makes its first media appearance (with some going months before getting a page - a gun doesn't strictly need a page if it only has one appearance anyway, so creating such pages is mostly done at individual editors' discretion), and even then, it's not exactly hard to find reliable info on the FGC-9, given that its entire purpose is to be distributed (in the form of digital information) as widely as possible.

Welcome to IMFDB

Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban. After that you should also read the IMFDB Screencapping Guide and the IMFDB Style Guide to familiarize yourself with the image and formatting requirements for pages you create.

There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.

Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. If you would like to join the forum, please post HERE and an account will be created for you.

Now, HAPPY EDITING! bunni (talk) 04:32, 5 November 2023 (UTC)

Unrecord page

The page have no screenshots and with only one gun listed (without one gun image!) it will likely risk deletion. If you have possibility to provide screenshots please do it as soon as possible.--Dannyguns (talk) 06:04, 5 May 2024 (UTC)

New pages

Pages need screenshots and gun images. If you cannot provide them, please hold off on creating pages until you can. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:06, 21 May 2024 (UTC)

User page

Just between me and you, I'd avoid posting too much personal info on your user page or on the internet in general. This might make you vulnerable to hackers and spammers. I usually let users have a lot of leeway regarding their user pages, but this is just common sense. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:09, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

My bad Bro I did not think anybody would read my infopage

So what was the point of putting it on your page in the first place? --Dnkakusei (talk) 07:31, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

i kind of wanted to document my life in a Wikipedia style page

Eligibility and content

Hi, Brody. Please refrain from making pages that have barely any content, let alone be eligible for a page on this wiki. You can't just start a page with barely any content on it and expect it to be completed, it takes time and effort for pages to be completed, especially from the page creator. Please also check if the media you make pages for are eligible to be documented on the wiki; Emesis Blue is an independently and freely distributed web film and not a commercial production. Please keep uneligible pages to your sandbox. --Dnkakusei (talk) 13:02, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

PS. Killer Bean Forever was commercially distributed, but the guns featured in it are too cartoony and stylized to be identified as real firearms and therefore, be eligible for a full-fledged page.

Brody: there was a Uzi in the movie

That's not enough, according to the wiki rules. --Dnkakusei (talk) 13:17, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

where's my sandbox at --User:Brody7.62

RE: AoM

Appreciate the thanks, but this is almost certainly a one-time thing. As a word of advice, you shouldn't expect other people to complete your pages for you; this only leads to them getting deleted for a lack of effort. You should always try to get everything for a page, including screenshots. If you're unable to, you should leave your WIPs on the talk page or your sandbox. I only completed the page because it was already done on my sandbox, and the only reason I hadn't pushed it to main is because I hadn't yet gotten screenshots for Dark Assistance. If you don't want your pages to continuously get deleted like most of yours have been, I suggest you follow this advice. TheExplodingBarrel (talk) 15:59, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

how did you get a sandbox because I want to have a page so I could drop my ideas down so I don't have to go to the process of getting my stuff deleted you had a AoM page cooking and I have ideas for pages do you know where to get a Sandbox at--Brody7.62 (talk) 16:07, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Just go to User:Brody7.62/Sandbox and create it like you would any other page. TheExplodingBarrel (talk) 16:18, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

I appreciate the help--Brody7.62 (talk) 16:26, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

BO6

No, leaked content is not allowed. Only information from officially released sources is allowed. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:23, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Not to mention that leaked content sometimes doesn't end up appearing in retail releases. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 18:55, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

AQtion

I'm going to be perfectly honest here, I'd prefer you not. I just watched a few videos of gameplay, and I'm not impressed with the level of detail. There are a lot of other media titles out there, ones that don't skirt the borders of eligibility. I'd prefer you do one of those. --Funkychinaman (talk) 03:38, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Bodycam

Hey m8, I sent you an email with images I took for Bodycam, since I don't have a whole lotta time these days to post. Use the ones that have the most detail but look good. Kona (talk) 04:18, 19 June 2024 (UTC) thank you i appreciate working with you--Brody7.62 (talk) 12:54, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Little tips for beginners

Hi, sorry to bother you! Just wanted to suggest you a pair of tips for editing : put easy file names that indicate both the TITLE OF THE MEDIUM, the GUN and bit of "context" (ie : reloading, firing, etc)  like for example : File:Bodycam glock firing.jpg|etc... as it will make it easy to trace the file and make sure there will be no duplicates in the future. Beside for screenshots add this in the page description as will automatically tag them as screenshots :

Beside that, really compliments on your user page and congratulation on your edits, and don't worry we all had to begin somewhere! Happy editing!--Dannyguns (talk) 18:13, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

RE: Open Fortress

I've never played this game. Also, I told you last time that if you can't complete an article, you shouldn't make the page yet. Until you get your PC back you should leave them on your sandbox. RE: FGC-9 Page

If it doesn't appear in an eligible piece of media that you're planning to make a page (a complete page, with screenshots) for in the immediate future, then there's no reason to make a page for it. Even then, people typically make a gun's page after making the page for the media they appear in. If you want to have all the code and text ready to go, you can just save it to your sandbox - a gun page with no media appearances has no business being here. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 13:29, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

So, you don't have any piece of media in mind?
As such, I'll be deleting the page. It can be re-instated once someone makes a page for an eligible piece of media that includes it. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 13:53, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
