A MAS 1873 revolver is used by unsung genius Dr. John Watson (Ben Kingsley). "Sherlock Holmes" (in truth stage actor Reginald Kincaid (Michael Caine)) also uses one - quite ineptly.

MAS Mle 1892

Watson checks his revolver while undercover at Southwark Docks.

"Holmes" tries to load his revolver only for the bullets to spill out when he holds it upside-down.

Watson emerges from hiding and points his revolver at Professor Moriarty.
