Violet Evergarden
Violet Evergarden (ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン Vaioretto Evāgāden) is a 2018 anime of the studio "Kyoto Animation Co., Ltd." (A Silent Voice) directed by Taichi Ishidate that was broadcasted on Netflix. Violet Evergarden tells the story of Violet, who heard words on the battlefield that she can not forget. These words, whose meaning she does not yet know, came from someone she loved very much. Some time passed on the continent of Telesis and the great war that divided the continent into a north and south half ended, while people could welcome a new generation. The young Violet, once known as a "weapon," left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. Her new journey now begins as an "Auto Memories Doll", bringing her into contact with many different people, emotions, and forms of love. All this just to search for the meaning of the words she once heard.
A spin-off film was released in Japan in September 2019 with the title Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll.
The following weapons were used in the anime series Violet Evergarden:
Pistols
Luger P08
The Luger P08 is used by Major Gilbert in Ep. 08 before and during the battle of Intense Fortress. On the train, his Brother Captain Dietfried Bougainvillea uses a Luger that he offers to Violet in Ep. 12.
Colt M1911
Garderik Brigadier General Merkulov uses a Colt M1911 pistol at the end of Ep. 12 and during the opening of Ep. 13 "Auto Memory Doll and "I Love You" during the climax on the train.
Rifles
Mauser Gewehr 1898
The Leidenschaftlich army's main battle rifle is the Gewehr 98. First seen in Ep. 01 "'I Love You' and Auto Memoir Dolls" during Violet's flashback in which they are equipped with SG 98/05 bayonets. It is widely used in episode 8 when Violet recalls the last encounter with Gilbert during the battle of Intense. In this memory, Violet is seen armed with two G98s during the attack. In Ep. 12 Leidenschaftlich soldiers on the train station are seen with Gewehrs. The country of Leidenschaftlich (which means passionate in German) represents the German Empire.
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*
The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* is the standard rifle for Garderik and Ctrigall troops including Aidan Field in Ep. 11 "I Don't Want Anybody Else to Die". Violet is also seen with an SMLE that she fires one-handed during the Battle in Ep. 08. She also uses a Pattern 1907 Bayonet that she took from an enemy sentry. Insurgent Garderik soldiers use SMLE in Ctrigall after escaping from a prison camp. The Garderik Empire has references to the British Empire and Ctrigall is based on the Russian Empire (there rages also a civil war after the Great War).
No.1 Mk.III* (HT)
An Insurrectionary Garderik soldier in Ctrigall uses a scoped No.1 Mk.III* (HT) rifle in Episode 11.
Carcano M91 TS
The last last attempt of Garderik insurrectionary Isidor to stop Violet and Dietfried is a Tromboncino M28 grenade launcher mounted on an Italian Carcano M91 TS carbine in Episode 12.
Other
Unknown Artillery
Two different types of artillery guns can be seen. The first one in Ep. 04 "You Won't Be a Tool, But a Person Worthy of That Name". The second types are muzzleloading field guns used by soldiers of the Kingdom of Drossel (which represents France) in Ep. 05 "You Write Letters That Bring People Together?".
Ordnance QF 18 Pounder
The Leidenschaftlich Army is equipped with British Ordnance QF 18 Pounders during the Battle of Intense. A QF 18 Pounder manned by Garderik soldiers can be seen briefly in Violet's flashback in Episode 1 as well.
Webley & Scott No. 1 Mk. III*
Gilbert uses a Webley & Scott No. 1 Mk. III* Signal Pistol in Episode 8 to signal the attack.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate is used by a Garderik soldier and Isidor.
