Advanced Warfare

I appreciate that you're updating the Advanced Warfare page - it was in pretty serious need of screenshots. That being said, why are you moving so many entries to the talk page? There are several (the Smart Grenade, the IMR, the MP11, and especially the EPM3) that were perfectly fine on the main page. They bear enough resemblance to (usually because they're directly built from) real guns that they're perfectly fine there, and the trivia you can include about them makes for an interesting page if nothing else - you can make it clear that the gun isn't real, point out the real-world parallels, and issues with the concept and/or the in-game depiction. In my opinion, these hybrid weapons borderline on fictional than real for me, the MP11 I can agree with since it's a SMG hybrid into something less than what we're familiar. The Smart Grenade, while fictional, is a BB grenade, but I guess it's suitably fine on the main page, it's just that i'm probably overthinking it. IMR looks pretty much more fictional than the X95 it's based on, but I guess it can be considered to the main page, even if it's a 3d printer gun, no less lol, it's probably the fictional elements that put that into the talk page imo, but I can reverse it. The EPM3 is an outlier for me as I cannot find any real elements to a firearm that I am familiar with, especially the SCAR that is mentioned, and it's not even blatant to me. The only thing that can have conceivable real-life elements is the side pistol grip from the that was used in the Neopup/PAW, but beyond that, that is it.

And besides, it was late at night that I was doing these, so I couldn't think straight, it's most probably that, but I can still argue about the EPM3 for sure. XSlayer300 (talk) 00:52, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

The EPM3? Here, I'll show you:
Here's the EPM3 in first-person...
...and here's BF4's SCAR-H in first-person, as an example - note the extremely similar straight, continuous contours of the upper receiver, and the gentle slope on the top of the stock.
Even some of the subtler features seem to match - the EPM3 has a cutout at the bottom of the uppermost receiver section that pretty much matches with the SCAR's charging handle slot, the buttplates are of similar design, and that covered switch at the back looks to be in about the same spot as the SCAR's folding stock latch (you can look at the artist's portfolio for a better look. Interestingly, while you can basically never see it normally, the pistol grip is apparently rather Tavor-ish; while it wasn't followed 1:1 for the final model, the concept art appears to have been Photoshopped together from various gun bits (and some miscellaneous things, including what look like camera lenses in the "barrel"), with an actual X95 pistol grip, an oversized Barrett M98B handguard, and several chunks of a SCAR. This does suggest that it may not have been rebuilt from an old SCAR model, but was instead built ground-up to look like one; regardless, the basis is definitely there, and worth pointing out. MGS page remake

I've been planning on replaying Twin Snakes soon, so I could get screenshots of the TS weapons from Dolpin for the page.

I have no idea how to disable the HUD for TS, I will be sure to check if the PSG1-T can be used in that area. Samz (talk) 20:09, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

RE: CrossFireX/CrossFireHD

Hey! Yeah, I noticed that stuff on your sandbox, it's nice to see that reference. I have no plans to complete the list for now, though. I started the page a few years ago based on early trailers, but I didn't get to play the game. The article ended up in an unfinished state, so I requested its deletion and moved the content to the talk page. That said, I did later add a few entries to it; I had noticed that the campaign mode has various interesting weapons that are not present in multiplayer. For the record, a 3D artist uploaded some of the models on ArtStation, such as the MSBS, "Kalash-105" and Grand Power K100. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 19:27, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
