Tyrant is a television drama from Gideon Raff (the creator of the series Hatufim and producer of its US adaptation Homeland) and follows the son of a tyrant who rules a fictional Middle Eastern country who expectedly becomes involved in a civil war when his father dies and battle ensues for who will rule the land. The series premiered in the US on FX in 2014 and aired for three seasons until 2016.
