The Amityville Horror is a 2005 horror film directed by Andrew Douglas and starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George. The film is a remake of the 1979 film of the same name, but the studio claimed that new information regarding the supposed actual events were added to the new version.

Possessed Ronnie DeFeo, Jr. (Brendan Donaldson) killed his family with a Marlin Model 336C carbine chambered in .35 Remington. This is the same model of rifle used in the actual crime. Whether Ronnie was actually possessed or not, however, is debatable.
