This Movie was by far not one of the first movies he directed. I guess this movie would have been way to big to let someone new direct it, I think it is ( or at least was ) one of the most expensive german movies ever (as far I know the money came from his movies about the Nibelungen). --DAN11 (talk) 18:17, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

You're right, this was his 12th film according to Wikipedia but he had made some cloud for himself with "Dr. Mabuse the Gambler", besides maybe financing in Europe was different back then.--Dillinger (talk) 06:20, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
