This shows up a lot in games, you can tell it by the recessed seam. It's a gas bottle. Wikipedia shows M69s with a recessed seam, but it's not as deep or as sharply delineated. Is our M69 in the pic altered to look a bit more authentic? Evil Tim 18:03, 13 August 2012 (CDT)
Why do we even show the live grenade on Movie and TV entries?
I can tell you right now, NO movie or Television show has ever used, presented or handled a live M67 handgrenade ever. For the sheer sake of 'safety', only M69 training grenades or other custom made dummies have been used in any sort of movie or TV show. Is it useful to show the original grenade? Why? We explain what it's supposed to be, but let's get real, no one ever uses the real grenade, ever. It's always the dummy grenade. MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 05:14, 27 September 2016 (EDT)

- Indeed, many films and shows have actual combat footage. Training documentaries have also shown live grenades used on exercises, but then again we don't list those - Either way just making a point that 'NO show or film' isn't exactly accurate to say. (I know you meant no scripted film/show though MPM, never fear. ;) ) Anyway I can see keeping the image here for comparison purposes, but to use on a media page I agree is most likely improper though.
