The Rossi Princess is a Brazilian revolver based on the Smith & Wesson .32 Ladysmith. The revolver's frame is made of Zamak (a cheap zinc alloy) while the barrel and cylinder are made of steel. In 1965, small changes were made to the design and models intended for export with shorter barrels and oxidized finishes were offered. Some Rossi Princesses were exported to the United States in the late 1960s until the Gun Control Act of 1968 banned their importation. Following this, the remaining export guns were sold in Brazil.
