Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican actress/singer/dancer who has appeared in such films as Singin' in the Rain and The King and I as well as her portrayal of Anita in the 1961 musical film West Side Story, a role for which she became the first Hispanic woman to be the recipient of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also is one of only 18 performers to achieve the "EGOT" (having received an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, an Oscar, and a Tony Award) in addition to the "Triple Crown of Acting" (having received Oscar, Emmy and Tony awards for acting).
