Return of the Jedi, also known as Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, is the 1983 installment in the original Star Wars trilogy. Directed by Richard Marquand, the film follows Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) as he returns to his home planet of Tatooine to rescue Han Solo (Harrison Ford) from the clutches of the alien gangster Jabba the Hutt. Luke must also confront his destiny following the startling revelations from The Empire Strikes Back. This would make the end of the "Original Trilogy" phase of the Star Wars saga, but the story would continue in the "Prequel Trilogy" of feature films, starting with 1999's Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
The following weapons were used in the film Return of the Jedi:
Blaster Pistols
SC X-30 Blaster Pistol (Vostok Margolin .22LR target pistol)
Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) can be seen with a "SoroSuub Corporation X-30 "Lancer" target blast pistol". Like the "Drearian Defense Conglomerate Defender sporting blaster pistol" she carried in A New Hope, the pistol is actually a Vostok Margolin .22LR target pistol. Among other details, the X-30 in Return of the Jedi version lacks the commercially available compensator that the A New Hope prop had, attributed in-universe to the X-30 being a smaller more compact version of the Defender.
DL-21 Blaster Pistol (Armalite AR-7)
A snub nosed version of the DL-21 (a chopped down Armalite AR-7 in pistol form) lacking the finned muzzle device (but otherwise the same as the The Empire Strikes Back version) was carried by several Imperial officers on the forest moon of Endor, most notably Colonel Dyer (Ben Burtt, who was also the sound designer of the film) and Commander Renz (Barrie Holland).
Heckler & Koch P9S
General Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) carries a modified Heckler & Koch P9S in a shoulder holster.
BlasTech DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol (Mauser C96)
Han Solo (Harrison Ford) again wields the Mauser C96-based DL-44 blaster pistol as his iconic sidearm. The Return of the Jedi version was built referencing a resin stunt prop from The Empire Strikes Back, resulting in some minor discrepancies.
DL-18 Blaster Pistol (Umarex RO 72 Panther)
In Jabba's palace, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) uses the Force to pull what appears to be a DL-18 Blaster Pistol (Umarex RO 72 Panther) from the holster of a guard and points it at Jabba. Later, Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) and a guard fight over a DL-18 during the battle over the Sarlacc, and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) also uses one to save Lando.
Blaster Rifles
BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle (MGC Sterling)
The Sterling SMG-based "BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle" is once again the standard issue blaster rifle of the Imperial Stormtroopers. Unlike the two previous films, the props were built from MGC Sterling replicas, explaining why there were no blanks used as in the previous two films.
BlasTech A280 Blaster Rifle
The "BlasTech A280 blaster rifle" is the standard issue blaster of the Rebel Alliance ground forces. The A280 props, similar to the StG 44-based A295 blaster props seen in The Empire Strikes Back, were cast from replicas of the M16 series rifles.
EE-3 Carbine Rifle (Webley & Scott Flare Gun)
The "EE-3 carbine rifle", a modified Webley & Scott No.1 Mark 1 Flare Gun, is used by Boba Fett. Compared to the prop from The Empire Strikes Back, it has gained a more distinctive barrel and the scope is actually mounted backwards to where it was before!
Dressellian Projectile Rifle (Mauser Kar98k)
An unmodified Mauser Kar98k bolt-action rifle as the "Dressellian projectile rifle" is seen in the hands of the character Orrimaarko (a.k.a. "Prune Face") in promotional photos for the film.
