Private Life (Chastnaya zhizn) is a Soviet 1982 drama movie directed by Yuli Raizman. Sergey Nikitich Abrikosov (Mikhail Ulyanov), a director of an industrial enterprise, a very tough and demanding man, must retire. Facing loneliness and self-pity, being in mutual incomprehension with his wife and childs, he critically reconsiders his life.

The movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1982.
