Pitfall is a 1948 noir film directed by André De Toth on based on a novel by Jay Dratler. A middle class husband and father is bored with his humdrum life. He looks for excitement and becomes involved in stolen goods, adultery, and murder, thus risking his job, marriage, and life. The cast includes Dick Powell, Lizabeth Scott and Raymond Burr.

Colt Official Police
Bill Smiley (Byron Barr) carries a Colt Official Police in a breast pocket. Mona Stevens (Lizabeth Scott) pulls it out and briefly holds it.
Iver Johnson Revolver
Mona Stevens (Lizabeth Scott) uses a Iver Johnson Snub Nose revolver, which she finds in MacDonald's (Raymond Burr) desk.

John Forbes (Dick Powell) is armed with an M1911A1.
