JAG - Season 2 (1997)

The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the television series JAG:


Handguns

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is the weapon seen used in the series by the US military personnel. The handgun is used by Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr. (David James Elliott), Lieutenant Colonel Sarah "Mac" Mackenzie (Catherine Bell) and Rear Admiral A.J. Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) as well as other military personnel.

92FS; Chambered in 9x19mm. Used in JAG as the standard issue firearm of the US Military.

Browning Hi-Power

A Browning Hi-Power is used by British Forces in "Trinity" (S2E06). A Browning Hi-Power is pulled by Rincon (George DelHoyo) in "The Game of Go" (S2E10).

The first version of the classic pistol, developed by John Browning and adopted by Belgium in 1935, the FN P-35 - 9x19mm.

Colt M1911A1

A Colt M1911A1 is seen taken out from a case by RADM A.J. Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) in "Ghosts" (S2E07).

Heckler & Koch USP

A Heckler & Koch USP is carried by Captain Gayle Osbourne (Leon Russom) in "Secrets" (S2E02). The USP had only been released in 1993, making the appearance here one of the earliest in any television series.

Makarov PM

The Makarov PM is used by several characters in the series.

Smith & Wesson 4506-1

Former Marine corporal Jason Magida (Victor Love) holds a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 on RADM Chegwidden in "Secrets" (S2E02).

A later model Smith & Wesson 4506-1 - .45 ACP. Note the lack of a 'step up' in the frame that the older 4506 has as well as the rounded trigger guard. Also note the straight backstrap to the pistol grip versus the curved backstrap on the older model.

Ruger KP90

Former Navy SEAL Paul Bauwer (Bruce Weitz) holds a Ruger KP90 that he took off a robbery suspect in "The Guardian" (S2E12).

Shotguns

Remington 870 (USMC)

In "The Game of Go" (S2E10), Rabb takes a Remington 870 (which appears to be in the USMC configuration) from a cartel guard and holds it on the drug lord.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5N

The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 (with the Navy trigger group) is used by SEALs, Marines, and other various tactical units in various episodes in the series, often fitted a Surefire tactical weaponlight.

An SRT member is armed with an MP5A3 in "Secrets" (S2E02).

Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW

The Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW is seen used frequently in the series. Rabb uses a SEAL's MP5-PDW to prove his point by shooting a courtroom ceiling in "Heroes" (S2E04). These are MP5K-PDWs due to the 3 lug barrels and folded stock.

In "Heroes" (S2E04), Navy SEALs are armed with suppressed MP5K-PDW's as they raid a ship.
In "Heroes" (S2E04), Chief Petty Officer Greg Connors (Steven Flynn) fires his suppressed MP5K-PDW in a flashback.
In "Heroes" (S2E04), Rabb loads and fires a Navy SEAL's MP5K-PDW in the courtroom to prove a point.

MAC-11

The MAC-11 is a frequent submachine gun seen in the series. In "Code Blue" (S2E13), HAMAS terrorists including Mustapha Ben Kessar (Francesco Quinn) are armed with MAC-11's as they take over a hospital. Harm is later seen with the weapon.

Sterling SMG

Sterling SMGs are used by British Forces in "Trinity" (S2E06). The footage here was reused from the film In the Name of the Father.

Rifles / Carbines

Norinco Type 56

Kalashnikov and Norinco Rifles have been seen during the show's ten seasons. In the episodes set in Russia, Chechnya, Cuba, Iraq, China, etc, as well as flashbacks to the Korean War, Vietnam, and the Cold War, many varieties of Kalashnikov rifles have been seen, as well as the Chinese manufactured Norinco rifles. Unlike most movies and television shows JAG was usually pretty accurate about having the right rifle type for the locations.

FN FAL rifles, standing in for L1A1 SLRs, are seen used by British Forces in Northern Ireland in "Trinity" (S2E06).

Colt AR-15A2 Government Carbine

In Season 2's premiere "We the People" (S2E01), Sergeant Riske (Sal Landi) a militia member, is seen armed with a Colt AR-15A2 Government Carbine fitted with a scope.

Marlin Model 336

In "Full Engagement" (S2E08), a poacher named Denny (Michael Bowen) uses a Marlin Model 336 to open fire on Harm and Sarah. Harm also uses the rifle.

Olin Flare Gun

Mac (Catherine Bell) is seen using an Olin Flare Gun in "Full Engagement" (S2E08).

Olin flare gun - 25mm, an older version commercially available under the Winchester "Olin" brand before it became Orion. These flare pistols had a black satin finish and bright orange grips, which are the inverse colours of the current Orion models with white and blue/red colours.
