Dementium II is the second entry in the Dementium series after Dementium: The Ward, The player resumes playing as William Redmoor after waking up in the Bright Dawn Treatment Center and must survive as the monsters from his dream in the first game escape into the real world.

The game received a remaster on PC in 2013 as Dementium II HD and this version was heavily criticised for how weak the upgraded graphics were at times with some worse effects/audio than the DS original, heavily reduced difficulty in a game that was already easier than the first, a ton of bugs on release and missing the DS version's survival mode. (Which was technically added in the last patch which never left being an optional Steam Beta patch.)

The following weapons appear in the video game Dementium II:

Revolver

What appear to be two different revolvers depending on the version appear as William's first firearm, found on a dead Bright Dawn guard after the first boss.

William's ability to reload the revolver near-instantly by briefly bringing it off-screen is even more absurd since he can now do it one-handed with his other hand holding a flashlight, while the DS version at least has William briefly bring his flashlight hand off-screen too, in the remaster William can instantly reload his revolver without very briefly putting his flashlight away.

The DS Revolver's cylinder also clearly moves when firing while the HD version appears to be static (But is hard to tell for sure due to the incredibly jerky firing animation.) and also rotates briefly to "fake" William opening the cylinder just before taken off-screen.

Double Barreled Shotgun

A 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun appears in both versions as the game's shotgun. On DS, the Shotgun and Assault Rifle lack flashlights, forcing William to switch to a one-handed weapon to see in dark areas while the HD versions now have flashlights attached.

SIG SG 552

The SIG SG 552 with a foregrip appears as the "Assault Rifle" in the DS version.

It is the only firearm used against the player as a small number of the Bright Dawn security guards manage to equip themselves with the SG 552 (or AKS-7U on PC) instead of their stun batons.

An odd quirk of the original game not present in the remaster is that all of the Bright Dawn assault rifle guards (aside from the first one seen in a pre-rendered cutscene who fires in full auto) are seemingly all equipped with 1-bullet magazines as they shoot William once and after a brief delay will reload the SG 552 then shoot William once and then reload over and over.

AKS-74U

The AKS-74U appears as the Assault Rifle in the PC remaster. Unlike the DS version; while guards will still fire their AKS-74U in single shots, they do not reload in-between every shot.

Oddly the magazine for both the AKS-74U and the DS version's SIG SG 552 are M16 20-round magazines (recycled from the first game) while the SG 552 at least also uses 5.56x45mm and the magazines could in theory have their rounds removed to be used in SG552 magazines, the PC version's AKS-74U would be entirely incompatible due to being in 5.45x39mm.

Dynamite

William acquires some Dynamite in the mines and it's used in the Colossus Boss Fight as William must run from it in a procedurally generated deathtrap course picking up sticks of Dynamite that spawn to kill it. The Dynamite in both versions will explode instantly on a direct contact with an enemy but how much self-damage can be inflicted depends on the version. (William will always take minimal self-damage in the remaster but can kill himself instantly with Dynamite in the DS version.)
