Genre: First-Person Shooter

Delta Force: Xtreme is a remake of the first game of the Delta Force series of games by NovaLogic with 3 out of the 5 campaigns present in that game.

Xtreme has some big differences compared to the original, the player now has the abiltiy to drive vehicles (Black Hawk Down had drivable vehicles but only in multiplayer, in the campaign the player was only ever allowed to get in as a passenger or gunner) and every mission has infinite respawning as if it's multiplayer. (The player loses Experience Points when dying but all these do is function as score.)

A new mechanic in Xtreme is "Weapon Power-up" pick-ups, which allow the player to carry additional weapons/items, in the campaign, only full ammo, first aid, Satchel Charges and AT-4 Power-up boxes are used for the vast majority of the campaign howeverin the editor for custom missions there are power-up boxes for every player-usable firearm aside from the MK23.

All of the game's weapons are reused either from Delta Force: Black Hawk Down or Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising

Handguns

Heckler & Koch Mark 23

The Mark 23 from the Joint Operations Escalation expansion pack appears as the only handgun in the game. Why they didn't re-use more handguns (especially since the original Delta Force did give the player the choice of two handguns) is odd, this is the only Delta Force game with only one secondary weapon.
