Matsuda is armed with an USP pistol during the attack on the base.L also offers Light what appears to be an USP in episode 23.

Fictional Flare Gun

Matt's weapon of choice is a flare gun which strongly reassembles a Harrington & Richardson M5 Flare Gun,but it also has a Leuchtpistole hammer. It appears to only be able to fire smoke grenades.
