Daniel Defense
About
Daniel Defense is an American arms manufacturer founded in 2000 by Marty Daniel in Savannah, Georgia. Following substantial growth from a 2006 contract to build rails for the M4A1 Block II and a 2007 contract to build the L85A2 rails, Daniel Defense expanded in 2009 and moved into a new manufacturing facility in Black Creek, Georgia, where it is now based. Soon after, Daniel Defense moved from producing mostly AR-15 accessories to building its own firearms, launching the DDM4 AR-15 series, which it sells in automatic form to law enforcement and military customers and in semi-automatic form to civilians. DD also later acquired the Hudson H9 design rights after the latter dissolved, which will now be produced as the Daniel Defense H9 as of 2024.
