Emissary of the former "party mafia", nicknamed "Jaffar" prepares and implements a series of provocations and terrorist acts on the outskirts of the country to create the preconditions for a coup. During an attack on a military base, Jaffar's chief smuggler gets wounded.

Nikolai (Sergey Veksler) used Mossberg 500 shotgun with rifle sights in the beginning of the movie. Being that it is a 1992 year, chances are that it's a fully rifled barrel, made for one of the many "Combo" shotguns (fully rifled shotgun barrels were legal in Russia until the 1990s; "Combo" shotguns with they can still be found on the secondary market within the country, but any import of them has since been banned).

At least four AKS-47 rifles are visible among the weapons that the gang steals from the police station. AKS-47s are later used by many Jaffar's henchmen.

Plenty of AKS-74U rifles are seen at the beginning of the movie in the armory of the police station.

The AKS-74 rifles, some fitted with bayonets and synthetic furniture, are visible in the hands of soldiers, when terrorists attack a military base. In the end of the movie, Jaffar (Aleksandr Rozenbaum) uses an AKS-74 with wooden furniture and fitted with a GP-25 grenade launcher.
