At the beginning of Season 2's premiere "Konsekans" (S2E01), the CRM Soldiers plant explosives outside the walls of Omaha before sending a huge horde into the city. The Endlings use explosives stolen from the Cull Facility to destroy the underground squads of soldiers at the beginning of "Death and the Dead" (S2E09). In series' finale "The Last Light" (S2E10), Huck sets the remaining explosives on the gas containers.

A soldier sets explosives at the base of the wall in "Konsekans" (S2E01).

The explosive is activated by the research gadget on the back of the shooted walker in the tunnel at the beginning of "Death and the Dead" (S2E09).

In series' finale "The Last Light" (S2E10), Jennifer takes the explosives out of Hope's backpack.
