This is Lt. Estridge's (Neal McDonough) sidearm. It was holstered and he was stuck in his SUV so he couldn't reach it. In other words, It was taken by Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) to kill John Ryder (Sean Bean) and he takes it from her and tries to kill Lt. Estridge.

Beretta 92FS INOX - 9x19mm. This pistol was the screen used gun, used throughout the film by Det. Max Kirkpatrick (William Baldwin) and once by Kate McQuean (Cindy Crawford) in the film Fair Game.
