The Expendables 2 is the 2012 sequel to 2010's The Expendables.  The film was directed by Simon West (Con Air) and Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of a team of mercenaries, who this time are tasked by the CIA to prevent a cache of plutonium from falling into the wrong hands.  As in the original film, nearly all of the biggest names in action films from the past two decades make appearances in the sequel and in addition to expanded roles for Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme also appear in this film.

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) uses a pair of Kimber Gold Combat II pistols as his sidearms in the film, the same Kimber Gold Combat II pistols that he wielded in the first film. In this film, the Kimbers' grips feature small "Expendable" emblems on both guns. The same symbol is also seen in Barney's toothpick knife.

The Expendables 2 is the 2012 sequel to 2010's The Expendables. The film was directed by Simon West (Con Air) and Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of his team of mercenaries, who this time are tasked by the CIA to prevent a cache of plutonium from falling into the wrong hands. As in the original film, nearly all of the biggest names in action films from the past two decades make appearances in the sequel and in addition to expanded roles for Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme also appear in this film. The Expendables 3, the third film in the trilogy, was released in 2014.

The following weapons were used in the film The Expendables 2:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Handguns

Custom Kimber Gold Combat II

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) uses a pair of Kimber Gold Combat II pistols as his sidearms in the film, the same Kimber Gold Combat II pistols that he wielded in the first film. In this film, the Kimbers' grips feature small "Expendable" emblems on both guns. The same symbol is also seen in Barney's toothpick knife.

Colt M1911A1 (customized)

Hector (Scott Adkins) uses a heavily customized Colt M1911A1 pistol as his sidearm in the film. This is likely the same gun that was seen in the first film and in the 2004 adaptation of The Punisher.

Colt Single Action Army

As in the original film, Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) also carries a customized Single Action Army. The revolver has a shortened barrel, compensator cuts and no front sight. He uses the SAA during the rescue mission in the beginning of the film and near the end of the airport shootout prior to confronting Vilain.

Heckler & Koch P30

Maggie Chan (Nan Yu) uses a Heckler & Koch P30 as her sidearm in the film, and can be seen firing it during the shootout at the abandoned Soviet base.

SIG-Sauer P229 E2

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) carries a SIG-Sauer P229 E2 when The Expendables are in Albania. He draws the SIG when the team is confronted by Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his henchmen at the crash site.

SIG-Sauer P226R

Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) carries a SIG-Sauer P226R as his sidearm in the film, and he most notably uses it during the shootout in the abandoned Soviet military base. Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) uses Caesar's P226 during the rescue mission in the beginning, as he gives his Milkor MGL Mk 1L grenade launcher to him after Trench Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) takes Caesar's AA-12 shotgun. A Sang also briefly wields a P226, before quickly being killed by Toll Road.

SIG-Sauer P226 SCT

Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) uses a SIG-Sauer P226 SCT as his sidearm during the Nepal rescue mission in the beginning. He carries it in a cross-draw holster on his tactical vest, much like he did with the Beretta 92G Elite 1A in the first film.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch UMP

Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Ceasar (Terry Crews) use Heckler & Koch UMP submachine guns during the jet ski chase after the rescue mission in the beginning of the film. Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) also has a UMP slung over his shoulder during the mission in Albania. Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) uses a Heckler & Koch UMP at the abandoned Soviet base. Maggie Chan (Nan Yu) also uses the UMP during the shootout at the airport. Various henchmen also use the UMP as their primary firearm in the film. Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) also picks up a UMP during the shootout at the airport, and subsequently uses it until it runs out of ammo.

Assault Rifles

Noveske Rifleworks Diplomat

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Yin Yang (Jet Li), and Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) use Noveske Rifleworks Diplomats with Vltor VIS-1 monolithic upper receiver assemblies during the rescue mission in the beginning. Most of the main characters use the Diplomat when they are searching for the crash site of a Chinese jet. These rifles are most likely the same weapons that ISS (Independent Studio Services) acquired for The Expendables.

M4A1 Carbine

Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) are both seen with the M4A1 assault rifles during the rescue mission in the beginning of the film. Toll Road's M4A1 is fitted with a Heckler & Koch AG-C grenade launcher, while Lee Christmas' (Jason Statham) M4A1 is fitted with an M26 MASS under-barrel accessory shotgun. Toll Road, and a couple of the Sangs also use M4A1 carbines during the shootout at the airport. Trench Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) picks up one of the M4s after his AA-12 shotgun runs empty, and uses it subsequently. Interestingly, the M4A1 in question has no rear sight, but it's not like Arnie ever used weapon sights anyway.

Heckler & Koch G36KV

Many of the Sangs use Heckler & Koch G36KV rifles throughout the film. Some of the rifles seem to lack front sights however. At the beginning of the airport shootout, Booker (Chuck Norris) briefly uses a G36KV to help Ross, Mr. Church, and Trench. This is a continuity error, as he's back to using the G36C later.
