Triffid gun

Here's a picture showing the actual prop used in the film, anyone recognise what the base gun is?

Maybe a Palmer Cap-Chur Mid-Range Projector? --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:20, 13 August 2015 (EDT)

Looks similar but not the right one, ta. Bear in mind this is an early 80s lowish budget UK TV production --Sidewinder Forge (talk) 12:38, 13 August 2015 (EDT)

I can't imagine a pneumatic dart gun would be too big of a purchase, and it's possible they just used cast replicas. Did these actually fire? --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:50, 13 August 2015 (EDT)

Didn't actually fire, it shoot somewhat laughably dodgy special effect shurikens. --Sidewinder Forge (talk) 06:49, 14 August 2015 (EDT)

And I did some checking, and a Palmer Cap-Chur Mid-Range Projector today costs about $400 with the stock. So, probably something the combined budgets of the BBC and ABC can afford. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:48, 14 August 2015 (EDT)
