April 9th (2015)

April 9th or 9. April is a 2015 Danish war film. The title of the film comes from April 9th, 1940 when Nazi German forces invaded and occupied Denmark. The film focuses on a bicycle infantry company and their efforts to hold off the German forces until reinforcements arrive.

The following weapons were used in the film April 9th:

Rifles

Krag-Jørgensen Model 1889

Many Danish soldiers in the film are shown carrying the Krag-Jørgensen Model 1889. The ones seen in the film appears to be the infantry carbine with a straight bolt handle and the artillery carbine with a bent bolt handle.

MG42

What appears to be a MG42 can be seen mounted on a BMW R75 Motorcycle. It is most likley standing in for the MG34 as the MG42 had not been developed yet.
