Smith & Wesson Model 17 Target or Smith & Wesson Model 586 with a long barrel. Although if he really does have vent rib, nothing at except the Colt Python not remains.

Possibly but all these ideas (including Python) seem very unlikely. I cannot imagine how one of these modern American revolvers could appear on Soviet film studio. Similar looking revolver is seen in the holster of Black Jack's man.
