The following guns were used in the movie Red Dragon

Smith & Wesson Model 459

Carried by the FBI agent, Will Graham (Edward Norton), at the beginning of the movie in a shoulder holster. The F.B.I. purchased 803 specimens of this model and issued it to agents in the early eighties. The second generation 459 was manufactured from 1979-1987. When Red Dragon starts it's 1980 so it is consistent.

9mm semi-automatic

Smith & Wesson Model 38 Airweight Bodyguard

Carried by Graham (Edward Norton) as his backup gun in an ankle holster. Uses it to shoot Dr. Lector after he has been stabbed by Lector (Anthony Hopkins) in the beginning of the movie. There is also a possibility that it is the Model 49 Bodyguard. The difference being that the Model 49 has an all steel frame where the Model 38 has an alloy frame.

Ruger SP101

A Ruger SP101 is used by Will Graham (Edward Norton) at the end of the movie to kill The Tooth Fairy (Ralph Fiennes) after he invades the Graham home. That was certainly not an SP101, it looked more like a S&W K-frame.

Walther PPK

Walther PPK - 9mm Kurz aka 9x17mm (.380 ACP)

Glock 17

A Glock 17 is used by the Francis Dolarhyde a.k.a.,the Tooth Fairy Killer (Ralph Fiennes) when he invades the Graham home at the end of the movie.

A Generation 2 Glock 17 in 9mm.

Mossberg 500

A Mossberg 500 is used by the Tooth Fairy (Ralph Fiennes) when the F.B.I. arrive at his house and earlier when he is contemplating suicide. It appears that the Mossberg might be cut down. Unable to determine if it's a Cruiser model or a workshop remodel.
